Between the flowers in the wreath and the patterning on the folded cloth, this must have been a challenge! But there's no one I know better able to pull it of then you.
I also agree with the people who mention the lighting, it reminds me of the early mornings on a Saturday when I didn't have to be at school.

Actually, I don't want to just leave it at that, I should say more. You deserve more excellent feedback for this.
There are two things that really make this piece work so well for me: The lighting, and the texture.
The lighting is absolutely gorgeous. You should be incredibly proud of how you've captured that diffused light coming in from the window, the way the atmosphere almost seems to glow right there next to the window, then fade into a rich, chocolately, contrasty darkness below. The shadows, too, are exactly right, and add such depth and dimensionality.
And the texture is equally superb. I really feel like I could just reach in and touch absolutely everything. I mean, look at it! Fantastic! The pillows, the plush toys, the raptor: Warm, inviting, soft, and smooth all at once!
This feels to me every bit as good and rich as the very best illustrations I've seen in published work. Really well done indeed.

The sheer innocence in the way the raptor snuggles those croc plushes, the look of a man sinking back into youth, the rays of light brightening all things under a pure light, the wreathed picture of a plush bespeaking of a love for these simple friends of hatchlinghood, all of it really warms the heart.
You have made something very, very tender and beautiful here, something one rarely sees with a dinosaur of any stripe. Thank you!

I'm a good friend of FC's and not that you couldn't possibly know by now - but this made me so happy. In fact, I think I can safely say I've NEVER seen him happier. There's a lot else I could say - I myself was extraordinarily impressed with the details and the clearly obvious time and talent involved here - just congratulations on nailing it, is all I can think to say now. Thank you and well done :)
Looks like a raptor trying to instigate a plushy threesome, but when I tried to get that out of my head and look at it with innocence, I got distracted by the odd photo in the corner. It has almost shrine-like attention but depicts a plush! Maybe he's married to 'em :D
Although I have to say, this makes me really really want to get a life sized stuffed croc toy, just to see people's reactions when they come in my room XD Much less two, haha!
