Ok, so the other day I get a shout from Sekhmet, being flattered that she's in my top favorite artists. I sent a shout back basically saying she deserves it or something etc, and then I nearly shat enough bricks to build the empire state building when I saw she'd watched me O_O Seriously, she's one of my top top favorites and somewhat famous on FA along with many others like  blotch and  balaa, making art for the stunning calendars and all that. So I was pretty shocked and honored to have her watch me ^^

Now I know I've got a lot of commissions to do, don't worry I didn't exactly put them off for this. I had an awful lot of trouble getting to sleep last night >_< I was still awake at 3:30 am and just wasn't getting to sleep so I decided to get up. I needed something to do, as my mind was just trying to think 989859375 things at once. I really didn't feel like working on commissions while in this state, so I remembered my thought for making thankyou gift art for Sekhmet, and so I decided to do that. I stayed up til about 5:30am doing most of it, and finished it this morning. I also tried out my new markers! It looks a lot cleaner, no? ^^

I mixed her outfit up a bit, inbetween http://www.furaffinity.net/full/299595/ and http://www.furaffinity.net/full/979192/ I like different parts of each, and I may have added or changed a few small things. I also used the same fire idea, it seems to work well enough and I couldn't think of a better way of doing it ^^ Like, I mean with having the inked hand visible in the fire but not colored differently, so it's like you can see it through the fire. AND YES I KNOW THE SWORD SUCKS XD

Hmm...y'know it's kind of a dream of mine to someday be up there on the pedestal with all those awesome somewhat famous artists on FA. But it's not for the fame's sake, it's actually because that'd be the indication that I have reached my goal. Why are all these artists so highly loved and respected and have heaps of fans? Because their art is simply amazing, and they've worked damn hard for years to get there. That is my goal, to be really freaking good at what I do, and to get better and better with time. If I got somewhat famous like these artists, it'd be proof that I have reached my goal and have earned that fame ^^


Also, I don't think a lot of good artists realise how good other people see their work. I really don't think that much of my work, I mean I know i'm not terrible and I'm somewhat good, but I don't think I'm anything amazing. When I mentioned to my friend  JyakiVicc how excited and nearly had heart failure when watched me, she said that it was the same for her when I made random gift art for her and asked for her msn and became friends. I mean I knew she was somewhat a fan, but I had absolutely NO idea she felt that highly of me. ya Jyaki ^^

So anyway, yeah. Thanks so much Sekhmet, you really made my day ^^ I hope you like this picture.
