The new album of Foals is out, and again, quite relatable and in my taste, so it was a matter of time I'd purge some vent art. In this case, both "White Onions" and "In degrees" have a hint of what I'm currently struggling with, maybe not precisely by what the artists had on mind, but my own glimpses of worries that just happened to be of the same colors as some of parts of the lyrics.
I don't really know where I'm going with my art and I don't know if I'm just wasting my time at university, because now I know for sure I don't want want to have a job in the field my degree is directed at. Maybe I will make books for children, maybe boardgames or even just painting walls, but those struggles reflect my inability to stay consistent with what I create. I don't know guys, art is hard! So please, have some of my favorite human, because as niche as it is here on this site, I find this piece to have enough raw homosexual energy to be shareable.
Cheers guys! \o/

Working out what you actually want in life can be the hardest part! What you do at university doesn't have to define the rest of your life, and you certainly aren't alone in wanting to take a different path than originally intended. Hope you manage to find what's right for you without too much searching. Don't be afraid to talk things through with those close to you to try and better inform your decisions, either.
as for the art side of things - even if it's inconsistent from one piece to the next, the fact that you're creating something still has no small amount of value. Whether you're makin' stuff for yourself or others, it's still something that enriches the world around us. ✨
also, if you ever get the opportunity to go and see Foals live? do it
they're so loud lol. and they put on a super flashy light show too

Apologies if it seems weird that I get to answer this note after... several months, but I wanted to do so since I've seen it here! And then aforementioned struggles I was going with- well, they're in big chunk soothed, or dealt with completely. I'm grateful to answer you from a completely different perspective and a health place.
I completely agree! Even if it was hard, it was good to move forward. Now I see that despite the struggles, I was able to do anything at all, which already helped on its own. Don't know how much has changed in my art in such small amount of time, but I definitely feel more confident, which helps a lot :)
Gosh, I wish! They're on my bucket list. Every time they've visited my country there was always something in the way. I think it will be more doable in the close future though, if they ever choose to pay a visit again.
Thank you so much for commenting under this work in the first place. It means a lot.
