FiroLina made a base for this new species I made along with a few friends! Below will be some basic info about the Pravum, and they are an OPEN species! If you ever want to make one, feel free to use this base and please send it to me because I'd love to see your creations!

Appearance
The Pravum are a species of bird-like creatures, descending from a breed of ancient feathery wyverns. Standing around 7’ on average, the Pravum have athletic and quite slim bodies covered mostly in soft, shiny feathers and long feathery plumes for tails. Their heads have a rather normal shape, with a stout but strong beak, plumes of feathers on their cheeks that grow back across their faces, and generally large crowns and plumes on the tops and backs of their heads, with large, vibrant, shimmering feathers. While their powerful legs are plantigrade, their feet are replaced with featherless, dragon-like claws, with wicked talons growing at the end of each toe (the hands too are featherless, and end in talons of similar shape, but much reduced size). Their bellies and chests are also void of feathers, and unlike the rest of their body, have a soft, rubbery, almost elastic feeling to them, which are always oddly warm to the touch. In terms of colors, the Pravum’s feathers can take any sort of hue, though shades of green, blue, and brown are the most common, due to their sylvan nature. In terms of the colors of their claws and hands, they too can be in a multitude of colors, though in many cases are of a duller or complementary shade, and almost always are noticeably darker than the colors of the feathers. Their bellies are often of a lighter shade, but their stomachs and chests are often as varied as their feathers.

Bellies
The Pravum are unique in many ways, the foremost being their bellies. For whatever reason, perhaps as a trait inherited from their ancestors, the bodies of Pravum are constantly producing a gas-like substance, which steadily fills them up, inflating their bellies before the rest of their bodies at moderate speeds. This gas is about as heavy as air and lacks any sort of taste. Because of its density, it tends to stay around and disperse slowly in air, and will generally gather on surfaces if the Pravum exhales it onto one. There is another factor about the gas which is both dangerous and useful. The gas is hyper flammable and can combust rapidly and explosively when in the presence of fire. This is useful, as the Pravum are able to effectively breathe fire onto surfaces, but it can be just as dangerous, as if a Pravum who is even slightly overfilled with gas stands too close to a source of open fire or accidentally passes gas near a flame, they could cause themselves to burst, exploding into a feathery, rubbery inferno. However, to counteract this, the Pravum have an innate healing salve that their body produces, which can mend cuts of punctures into their skin or bellies, perhaps being able to stop them from being popped by malicious foes.

Physiology and Culture
Pravum have also developed another trait in other to prevent against this, in that instead of getting fat from overeating, their bodies create blubber. This blubber, while similar to normal fat, builds foremost on their bellies (and chests, for females), before building elsewhere on their bodies. In general, Pravum females are more like to have blubber due to, in their tribal society, females spending much of their time caring for the young, while males go out and hunt. The fact that their bodies constantly produce gas has led to Pravum incorporating bodily-expansion as part of their lifestyle, and are able to make themselves puff up with gas rapidly. Pravum tribal dances will often involve dancers being buffed up to ridiculous sizes first, and challenges for being a chieftain is fought out by two Pravum, in which they tie themselves down and start inflating themselves until one pops or backs down. Sumo-type wrestling is very common.
