Shiana had been dreading the coming Op since the day prior, the nervous wreck of a craft pacing back and forth her darkened hangar for hours, going over each detail, meticulously analyzing the plan. It was simple, fly low altitude, take out the whole base and destroy any interceptors, check tail, and get out.
But, she couldn't help but feel.. off.. Her and Shane had done dozens of ops by themselves, without the help of their squadmates, but something felt wrong. A voice startled her from her trance, "Alright.." Shane said as he came up behind Shiana, resting his nose atop her wing, "Look, I need you calm, okay?" He said, calmly as he could.
Shiana let out a quick sigh, "I know, I know... I just can't help but be nervous.." Shane smiled reassuringly, "Has it ever gone wrong before?" Shiana looked down, then glancing back at him, "..no, I guess not.." Shane slid his nose off her wing, stretching his back with a barely audible groan, "Well, then don't worry! It'll be quick, in and out, 15 minutes, tops. Besides, they'll all be asleep anyways."
Shiana huffed, position herself to face her squad leader, and lover, "You sure? I mean... there IS a first time for everything.." Shane scoffed in response, giving the timid girl a light peck on the nose, "It'll be okay. We've got the element of surprise, no strike force, just you, me, and our instincts~"
Shiana seemed to be eased by this, even if slightly, "Alright.." She finally mumbled. It was nice, being an independent force, Misfit Squadron only had about 7 total planes in it, which made even entire wing sorties a quick covert op. But going out with just 2 always made her jumpy. Shiana hadn't even noticed Shane attaching AA missiles to her rails.
"Its almost entirely an air to ground engagement, if they get lucky, they'll be up in there air with a couple planes, no issue~" Shane said while locking the ATGMs onto Shiana's under-wing rails. Shiana nodded slightly, feeling her padding warm slightly, but she didn't take much notice to it, it was the very last thing on her mind..
"I think we're good to go.. C'mon." Shane turned to the hangar door, allowing Shiana to go first, activating the door motors to close as he pulled away behind her. "Alright, equipment check." Shane said quickly, checking over Shiana's body as she moved her alevators, ailerons, thrust vector tabs, canards, rudders, and airbreak, "Okay.. System check."
Shiana synced her vital readings to Shane's, waiting a few moments, "All good." Shane glanced down, double taking as he noticed the sagging diaper on Shiana's rear, "Oh uh.. we should.. probably get outta these~" Shana looked back, she had in fact completely forgotten to get out of the padding, Shane had too.
"Oh.. whoops.. heh.." She said nervously, Shane popping his airbreak fully, "Oh its fine, silly mistake~" He said, unstrapping the padding from her rear and shoving it in between the hangars, doing the same with his own. After a few more minutes, the green light was given.
"Spool engines." Shane said as he pulled out with Shiana, the two's turbines slowly starting up with a poof of swirling fire from the left engine, then the right. The remote airbase suddenly overcome with the low, crackling rumble of jet engines, "Pressures look good, we're cleared for takeoff, stay at 1,500 ASL until we reach target." Shiana heard all of this through her internal radio.
"Right, then its just boom and zoom, right?" Shane nodded as the two turned onto the threshold of the runway, "Correct, nothing special, in, and out." Shiana let out a nervous breath, "Alright, breaks, full throttle, no afterburner." Shane did so, "Copy." With their engines spooled fully, Shiana called it, "Go flight, Misfit 9, Shockwave." Shane quickly followed, "Go flight, Misfit 10, Whiplash." With that, the two crafts roared into the sky.
"Remember, just keep your head level, and we'll be back before the tarmac even cools back off." Shane said through the radio. "Right.. I know.. You know how I am." Shiana said back. "Alright, imposing radio silence until target, maintain heading 270, altitude 1,470ft, no afterburner." Shiana gulped, "Good copy, out.."
Ayyyyeeee, set up perfectly for a part two, without the whole diaper thing, of course. For a first time writing a not so diaper oriented story, I had a lot of fun doing it, for how short and simple it was. I will in fact be continuing this in another pic, perhaps even 3 pics, we'll see, we'll see..
But anywhinny, the next pic I do of these two will certainly be... big... It'll probably be one of my bigger projects, more ambitious, complex backgrounds and shading, but I'll cross that bridge when it comes.
In this pic, I worked on linework, glowy areas, and general quality, I also changed up Shiana's paint a bit, I like it a lot, adds more of a flare than her previous renditions, I think, but ya know.
As always, I hope, for those of you that like this little niche, you enjoyed it. That's all for now, night ya'll.
