I remember a cockatiel at my great-grandfather's retirement home named Pumpkin. My GGPa died when I was about 8 or 9 years old, and earlier this year I saw a dead cockatiel in the back yard of my mother's office. Sometimes I imagine it was Pumpkin coming to say goodbye, but he didn't quite make it.
Edit: Also, a sequel to this where Mia learns how to use the ability would be nice.
