It took a lot of tries, countless nights and many prototypes to make such a weapon, but she was able to make this beauty. Grimlock is our Weaponsmith for the family and has had a hard time getting the correct materials and techniques to forge this Elven Longsword.

The part of the scabbard, the upper right in the pic is the problem. You'd have to open those lashes.
And for good craftsmanship, and especially an elven one, why not using the technique of Asian and partially European blades?
