Big Stone Beach is a tiny bayside community in Delaware. While every beach town in this state has has had damage in some form or another, this town takes it to the extreme. At some point it appears the entire north side of this town was destroyed at once, leaving nothing but charred pilings, concrete, and bits of wire and plumbing half buried in sand. Even half of the road that serviced these foundations has been lost to the sea.
I couldn't find any information, nor much in the way of history even. All I know for sure is the town is about 100 years old, and has Delaware's only existing steel triangulation tower surviving from WW2.
