Damn! A more wicked twist would be for the Raptor to shut down it's own life support as well.

It did but it had backup systems the A.I. didn't compromise. Granted they wouldn't have lasted long but the situation worked itself out.

Yeah, the other thing was they were surrounded by friendly ships at the end, so they had help, plus the Raptor didn't have it's full complement if it had the situation would have been more dire. Plus i thought about it possibly being a thing but I reasoned that the EV3 would have concluded that disabling all the ships primary functions would be enough to bring about its destruction by the other ships, going after the rest would have been just being over thorough.

Did any of the crew of the Raptor die during the incident?

Yeah a Red Shirt got gibbed when Fara ordered them to disconnect the damn thing, pretty graphically. There have been other stories where they haven't been as fortunate.

Were any people sucked into space?
