"Guten Aben! Has anyvan seen mein little Hasenliebchen? Ve haf ZO much katching up to do!"
Meet Greta Groß. Pronounced "grose."
(Groß = German for "big")
One of Beau's primary love interests throughout his cartoon career, her character was a radical departure from the slender actresses throughout Hollywood, and animation history. Although her character tested very positively with audiences, haughty critics accused Violet Studios of using her as a an unhealthy example, due to what they referred to as obesity. But despite the rantings of wealthy critics, Violet Studios continued to use her in many cartoons.
During World War II, it was anticipated that she would be omitted from cartoons, due to her German heritage. Surprisingly, this was not the case. Instead, she often protrayed a German peasant who assisted foreign soldiers (played by Beau, or the other characters in the franchise) against Hitler, thus showing audiences that it wasn't the German PEOPLE who were evil, it was the regime itself.
Extra Trivia: She loves to bake pastries, and as a result, she smells like freshly baked cookies.
Extra Extra Trivia: The design was partially conceived by
fluffball. And the result was glorious. :)

German's one of the languages I was never able to grasp.
A clever character, sort of. Disney and Looney Toons have a few rare plus size females.
Always used as love interests if I remember correctly.
I'm sure you'll do something clever with her though, even that intro made me smirk.

I like the back story you gave her, especially the Wolrd War II part. It was important to show that not every German was Nazi-crazy as in real like. There were real-life stories of anti-nazi types that would either manage to excape Germany or get imprisioned for opposing the dictatorship.
For a 1920s-1930s rubber-hose cartoon character, she's amazing well develped physically, especailly *ahem* in the bosom area. That, plus the low-cut dimil. How did that get past the Hayes Office?
