"Do you think that I could try that someday?"
"Hmm? Try what?"
"Smiling of course! It looked very much like fun." The man grinned at this.
"Ah! See! You did it again! That one was much bigger than the others." He had to laugh next.
"Oh, its not very hard at all! You merely think of something, the most wonderful thing you can imagine, and you know those feelings that bubble up from somewhere deep inside?" There was an eager nod.
"Let those show."
There was a curious blink at this, though it was soon followed with closed eyes and clasped paws at sides, as if trying to restrain the eagerness welling up.
The man grinned again and paused a moment, watching.
It felt funny, being happy. Not at all like what had been imagined before. It always seemed so delicate, a brittle glass flower that could be smashed by the tiniest tap on its petals. But it was so much more than that, so much more than what had been imagined, and what could be imagined at that point. It grew and grew, from somewhere deep inside until for all the troubles, all the sorrows, all the pain and misery and hatred that had been known since the beginning...
It showed.
And the man smiled back, and laughed.
"Its a start, a very small one but a start nonetheless. You'll get the hang of it soon enough." This was met with another smile, and the skittering of eager footpaws trying to keep up with the man as he walked away. The man looked down at the bright eyes and glowing smile, chuckling deeply. He blinked in surprise as he was excitedly pointed at.
"Oh! Perhaps I can try that next?" He laughed again, even as it brought an excited hop from his compatriot.
"Why, that's the very next lesson: laughter."

--; heh wish when I smiled... it didn't scare all those around me, must be my eyes... and me usually covered in blood... tend to send mixed messages.
hrm now where is the core of euphoria? where does anger? fear? humor?
something so simple yet still the most complex question. *Returns a grin.*
