Raine has always been curious about magic. Although the spell is simple it marks a major milestone in her teachings.
After weeks of early mornings and late nights this small flicker has come as a relief. She was beginning to think she would be among those unlucky few who did not have the ability to tap into the magic of the world around them. She strains to keep her focus and keep the fire burning for just a little while longer, she'll have plenty of time to celebrate later.
This is actually one I sketched out quite some time ago and have been putting off finishing ever since.
Tonight I decided it was finally time.
