Smoke and fire are two of my favorite subjects. Neither one is willing to hold still for long enough so one had better be ready at all times when shooting these subjects.
Have you tried using a black cloth as a backdrop to bring out the details of the smoke better? Since you know what camera raw and ASA are and you use the same camera I do, I'm going to make a wild guess that you know how to take manual control of the settings to get what you want.
I'm not sure but there is something in the smoke just above the burner and to the left.
Cheers;

Yah, I thought about a black backdrop a bit later, one of those things I'll have to grab at the second hand store when i next there.
For this one, since I was experimenting I used auto everything just to get my feet wet as it were. When I do this again I'll probably use Aperture priority and a back and low 45WS strobe to really bring out the smoke.
I don't see anything in the smoke, but I've not looked at the image long and hard enough to get my brains' gears going :)
