Cubone always been my favorite pokemon, since childhood. But I learned his tragic story quite recently...
He is called the Lonely Pokémon because of his tendency to keep to itself and avoid social situations, as he was traumatized by the death of his mother. Cubone often weep at night in mourning of his mother. When Cubone cries, the skull that he wears on his head vibrates and emits "a plaintive and mournful sound." On the night of a full moon, Cubone seems to recognize its mother in the moon, and so it cries with a particular sadness...
