I promised I wouldn't touch my tablet on my day off, and what do I do? Not only do I break that promise but I spend several hours painting this. OTL! Old habits die hard indeed.

Anyway, a bit about this, and why it looks noticeably (to me, at least) different than my usual painted art:

I wanted to try to speed up my process when I realized I had been spending upwards of 8-10 hours on painted fullbodies--that's quite a bit longer than they should take!

I have also been feeling that my usual painted style didn't feel right for more sensual art. A lot of the painting time is usually spent on detailing faces and trying to get the details as close as possible to real species, however I don't think more realism = sexier, so I dialed back the detailing a bit and quite like the results.


I also used a greyscale to color method with this one, which I think was very useful but didn't really save a lot of time.

The anatomy on this is rushed as I wanted to focus mainly on rendering for this experiment, but I like how it turned out anyway, so in future I'll be combining this rendering method with better anatomy on more pinup style works :>
