Yeah, the picture is blurry as hell. I forgot to turn on the flash on the camera on my crappy phone and got this mess. This is among the better ones. I didn't take much pics of myself anyway. One of my roommates took photos of me but I haven't received them yet. I am sure they will be of much better quality.
So here it is, my first fursuit I made ever. Just a partial for now and very incomplete at that. I dub it version 0.5 due to the incompleteness.
I didn't want to have a bare foam base (I only saw one person doing that). I got done just enough... I hope. I am missing items like my fangs, tongue, and horns. I also didn't have time to make my paws.
I did recycle my viking costume for use at the con. Something to fit with the 'roll the Initiative' theme of this year. I also wore the robe from my plague doctor costume on Friday to change things up though the I used the viking one the most including the fursuit parade.
All in all, I did had lots of fun. I had trouble moving around with that head on but by the time the con ended, I got quite used to it. I plan to get the head finished by the time ACFI rolls around in early October. That should be the true version 1.0 by then, something much closer to my true self.

Aside from the lumpy hot-glue spots, it is indeed quite soft. The fabric I used came from a blanket called plush blanket. It is like a cross of fleece with a velvet sheen to it. It also has some stretchiness to it so I was able to form it around the foam base I created. All in all, I am happy with my first try at this. I hope if looks even better once I am done adding all the missing stuff.
