Oh boy, what did this scoundrel do this time... or rather what is he running off with? Well, better time than any to give a description on the underground dwelling Zayta.

The Zayta-Ker subspecies is an underground and mountain dwelling species. They are known for making their homes in excavated caves and are more at home in colder climates. Their fur is very soft, very thick and somewhat water resistant. Their eye sight is slightly worse in daylight than other Zayta, but this is so that they have some semblance of night vision while within the caves. They also have large, bat-like ears that can easily pick up fair off sounds. Zayta-Ker are no strangers to using echo location to tell where they are underground and this helps to navigate the endless maze of the underground. Most Zayta-Ker also specialize in excavation since their claws are thicker and stronger, tailor made to break through rock and dig through dirt. Mountainous Zayta-Ker also have impressive jumping capabilities, but tend to be but a bit slower than other Zayta. Lastly, the Zayta-ker seem to greater bio-luminous than the other Zayta, which aids in lighting up the underground as they dig and explore.

There is supposed to be a story to this picture which I did have typed up but sadly I lost the file... So it will have to wait. The crystal he is carrying and the one on his hand are special crystals that share a symbiotic relationship with the Zayta. They are referred to as Fo-Ki crystals. I will explain them at a later time with another art work.
