A WACO (Western Aircraft Company) 40. An all-metal biplane (duh!) with two open cockpits.
Back in the early 90s, I had a sudden attack of the brain farts and ponied up $25 to take a ride in one of these (not this specific one; the one I flew in was dark green). To this day, I have no idea why I did it, but I did, and took my video camera with me.
I will tell you two things: 1) I know what a cloud feels like when you fly through it, and 2) when the pilot throttled back before descending for a landing, the plane seemed to stagger in midair and I almost threw the camera over the side.
