Love the light/shading effect of this piece it put directly in the context X3... see how the mole seem ticklish I doubt he can take it very long... the tickling are already so intense for him and the rat Only using Needle so what if he change for one feather or two ? Plus the tickling on the armpits with the tail is realy evill ! And the rat's face show us he is determined to have these info hehehe...

I think Elom would very likely be ready to talk some time ago if only to beg for mercy but I don't think Lanrete is intending to stop any time soon, he just looks too enthusiastic and just deriving some malicious enjoyment from it. I wonder if interrogation is just a pretence and it's all about the tickling and punishment and will only end once Elom succumbs to exhaustion. Though maybe Lanrete might have just gotten a little carried away and realise he should have let the mole talk, though I suppose there might be a few more tickles to the armpits with his tail and strokes with the needles just to make sure Elom isn't playing dead.
Of course there's the onlooker, mysteriously in the shadows and perhaps just contemplating the efficacy of Lanrete's efforts. Though if Lanrete is known for getting a little carried away perhaps the onlooker is going to step in although it could be a little too risky to get close to the rat, he might after all not appreciate an interruption.
