'Gently by the lake, hold that paddle tight and move the burnt sticks and boxes out of the way... another place, another event that happened in this realm of memories. I remember that it was a foggy lake, that seems to stretch on. A disaster happened in this place, something that made me refuse to turn my head around to look at it.. i feel a plethora of negative emotions... but all is washed out as the boat begins to swerve gently away from the shore. into the middle of the lake. I row towards the land in the distance, into the majestic mountain... i row to forget. Eventually, i'm far enough that when i turn around there's nothing but fog... I'm safe.'

I hope you enjoy the atmospheric melancholic vibe of the painting along with the flavor text i provide to it. I know this is another one of the gloomy themed but i promise that i will make something bright and cheerful for the next painting :) This painting is based from my daily life experience and i think the parable and comparison is quite clear. Supposedly this is relatable to other people, bad things happens in life and sometimes you have no choice but to keep going and not turn around. at some point you turn around and you already forgot what's the bad thing that happened. In a way i just try to forget the bad things that happened in the past. it's that simple haha.
