I love griffy faces so much XD You bring out the best in them! Beaks are challenging in certain angles, it's something I'm still practicing, so I admire your ability to get them so well done.

I used to volunteer at a raptor rescue centre in my hometown, and I got a lot of experience there in seeing raptor faces from all angles. And usually, once I know how something behaves spatially, I can draw it. Something about the way I process information, I dunno. XD Maybe I'm a sculptor at heart.

I know that feeling all too well, so I feel you. I do all types of random stuff on a sheet of paper and see what I like best and try to keep to it while working on another one at the same time, it's fun and a lil frustrating all at once XD But very worth it in the end.

Oh that's awesome, that's actually perfect for avian and griffin art. I have cockatiels as pets and look at theirs and it helps at some points, then I look up pictures of raptors--all various types--in as many angles as possible for studies and it helps a bundle, too. Real life up close is always better though, so you were lucky!

Good luck on wing studies, I have no doubt you'll master them in no time! They're pretty tricky, too o,o
