A Viali shuttle, on approach to Ryjira, the purple home planet of the Viali. Ris orbits to the left, small lights dotting its surface, its settlements and ship-refueling locations active and ready. The crew is anxious to see their pack back home in the city of Stryatus.

This piece is the first depiction of the Viali's home planet - Ryjira - from space, as well as Ris, its only moon. This is also the first drawing of a Viali starship outside of raw concept art. On the terminator line for Ryjira (the ring where day meets night), various cities and lights can be seen from the settlements, and various smaller tent communities that reside outside city walls. A few brave lights have ventured into Ryjira's starside - permanently dark side - to explore and see what lays beyond. The Viali call the ring they live on the Reach. Stryatus - the largest city and home of the Enchiridion - can be seen near the top of Ryjira, with the Inviolate primary base to its right. A constant wind blows from Ryjira's solside - the side permanently lit - toward its starside. This produces long bands of clouds perpendicular to the Reach, and is a source of guaranteed energy for the Viali.
