Hate to say this, but after what he did when they were racing back with the meds in the cartoon movie, I can see Balto explaining what the marks on the trees were. And to find so many others that had Steele's scent on them. The team would realize Steele what steele did and yeah. I can't exactly feel empathetic for him.

He almost killed his team, his musher, and every child in his town. All out of petty arrogance.
Frankly, he's lucky they didn't kill him.

But... maybe getting a new start in a new town is just the thing he needs to get himself together. Everyone deserves a second chance.

Good job. Bit sad, but very nicely thought out and done. I always wondered what happened to Steele after the first movie. I have my own notion, but this one here is a lot more sensible.

What I find most interesting about this is how believable it is. Fictional characters or not, their lives do continue, in a way, after what we see happen in movies, in tv shows and stories in general. This to me is what I think would have been the case with him if his story had continued from the first movie. With that being said, lets hope he's somehow been able to learn, accept and then change himself for the better and end up with someone who's able to provide him the environment he needs to grow.
