Lavante was out getting up to trouble all night. Partying, drinking, flirting, maybe even fighting and doing some crimes. He's a wild child bastard, and he doesn't stop until the sun rises.
He saves his first smile of the day for when he gets a text from his father, Paimon, asking if he'll be home for breakfast, maybe to pick up milk or someesuch thing. Always punctuated with "I love you, Lavante-kun."
He can never help grinning like a fool. More than sleep, it was what refreshed him for all of life's bullshit in the day ahead. And to him, he returns the words he never gives anyone else.
"...I love you, too, Dad. Home soon."

I rather like how this artist approaches design work. I've seen some of her art, and she often emphasizes a character's best attributes. I think she did that here, as well. I like Lavante's design and how she approached it. It's all very pleasing to the eye. ^_^
