and btw.. Love your style of doing hair.. I have given it a few try's but somehow my start is bad, I also want to try to use the same techniek for making feathers and wings.., someone explained to me to use the smudge tool alot..but I can't get even hairs.. I dun't know what I need to make to smudge it ^^
I have seen some more of ya art and it is really the best hair I have seen so far. Keep up the great work *waves and runs to the portal too ^^*

Oh, I avoid using smudge for doing hair for the most part. It can be used early on to help mix the colours around and stuff, but using only smudge will leave it looking cartoony/animey at best. I use some basic shading to try to "shape" it first, maybe a bit of smudge, and then I go over it all with 1 or 3 px-sized hair-by-hair strokes. It kind of blends in with the blurry/smudgey base, without making me have to do the whole thing hair by hair.

I'm really going to pratice it again (for the 4e time -.-" )... I want to draw more and more detailed now I know I dun't need to use the "smudge tool" as primary tool to make, it has given me some new hope..
One of the reassons I really hate I can't draw hairs or feathers is that the main character of me (Dark AcE Krystal) has wings.. and I don't dare to draw him yet cause i'm afraid I will fail at him and mostly the wings.

Daww, well, I try to be useful when people ask :b It's not like a closely guarded secret - just telling someone how I did it doesn't mean I can be automatically replaced or something X3 So it's all good.

Nice! The green landscape inside the portal and the barren landscape outside make for a nice contrast; the heavenly light emanating from the portal and the blur of the guy running really conveys the feeling that he is desperately trying to escape this wasteland into the verdant hills beyond the glowing rift.
