I guess ya used a photo of yourself? and styled it?
Sorta - except it was a photo of the client that I used for a reference. It was a night time photo that turned out really grainy, so I had to entirely repaint it anyway, but it worked nicely for a pose reference :)
and btw.. Love your style of doing hair.. I have given it a few try's but somehow my start is bad, I also want to try to use the same techniek for making feathers and wings.., someone explained to me to use the smudge tool alot..but I can't get even hairs.. I dun't know what I need to make to smudge it ^^
I have seen some more of ya art and it is really the best hair I have seen so far. Keep up the great work *waves and runs to the portal too ^^*

One of the reassons I really hate I can't draw hairs or feathers is that the main character of me (Dark AcE Krystal) has wings.. and I don't dare to draw him yet cause i'm afraid I will fail at him and mostly the wings.
Ty for the info.. maybe Dark AcE is going to be alive now someday ^^

Good luck with the hair/feathers X3 I personally find feathers to be the toughest!
