Woah!

Oh..... I have had dreams like this. The guy standing in the crosswalk is me. He's standing there because he knows the Dragon is after him- and will destroy the whole city to get him.
Yet the Dragon does does not know exactly who he is after- just my general location. So the entire city is to be fair game... He hopes to catch me in one of these lightning raids of his. He swoops in, destroys everything, roasts everyone- hoping to get me.
Everywhere I go, the Dragon will eventually appear. Death, destruction, mayhem follow.
Don't hide in the subway- he scorches those, sucking all the oxygen out of the air. If you survive the fire, you can't breathe and he knocks debris over them to forever entomb me- hoping I went in there.
The safest place I learned, are the storm drains. His hands are too big to lift the manhole covers. If he bothered to melt the steel cover, I could easily get away- it takes a while even for him to melt steel.
He's doing this because he wants to guilt me into surrendering. The buildings, the people, the bombs, tanks and planes, they are just in his way. He can't get to me any other way- I have to surrender or he needs to get lucky and push a random building over...
Take to the storm drains friend. All you need to lift a manhole cover is a screwdriver. People look at me funny because I carry a multitool on my belt even in formal dress... Now they know why. Be sure to pull the manhole cover back over you- or he will send searing hot fire to finish us all.
And if you see a scared man shaking in a corner of the drain system, muttering, "No... no... not again." over and over with deep guilt upon his face, that's me.
I don't dare admit to anyone that it's me he wants... I will be sacrificed in an instant- and rightly so. I am not afraid to die, I would give myself up in an instant... But my heart tells me there is something much bigger going on, that I must survive and that the many who die... well they are going to die anyway.
So odd you put the "Cyberdyne Systems" sign in this picture... There is something going on that I don't yet understand. Somehow, all this death and destruction is worth it. If I die or surrender, the entire planet is doomed- no man, woman or child will survive as they are now. Mankind will forever become cattle, serving their new Masters with their very lives. I don't know how I know that, but I do...
It hurts to play god.
Honestly, that's a real dream that occasionally recurs. Sometimes it's not a Dragon, but it is always an unstoppable, merciless monster- bent upon my destruction.
Weird enough for you" Lol. I will honestly wake up with a gasp or in a sweat sometimes. It's not from fear- but from guilt. I don't want to play god...
Needless to say, you have hit a deep thread in me with this drawing. Very well done!

Wow those are some intense dreams, man. Thanks for telling me this story, like I said, it's really fascinating to hear what kinds of associations people have with my art and this is a really deep one.
