Here is your watered down version of what to expect, basic rules, and suggestions on pairings.
First the rules!
*You must own at least one of the eosi you are breeding. If you do not own an eosi there are a few wild breeders you can pick from to get you started!<I do allow owners to allow other people to use their eosi, with screenshots of the permission and the understanding that the owner cannot ALSO use that eosi>
*Once you have your main breeder<s>, You may only choose from Eosi that are tagged as breedable in their titles.
*Retired, Ascended, and corrupted eosi are not ever breedable.
*You may not breed eosi yourself. You must wait for breeding season to purchase the babies or use bank points to buy rarely offered breeding beads.

What to expect:
Breeding season generally falls around March/April and will last three weeks or so. Giving you a lot of time to decide on your pairings, talk it over with other owners, ect.
You will be asked to list your pairs, pay and in the following month you will receive your offspring generally on a base created just for this generation.
Traits are inheritable on a scaling chance per rarity.
*86% chance for uncommon
*50% chance for rares
*10% chance for touched with a maximum of TWO touched traits, even if both parents have more.
Both parents carrying the SAME trait will increase those odds. Legendary status is not inheritable.
offspring will also be influenced by the colors and patterns of your chosen parents so choose wisely! You shove one pink eosi and one green eosi together and you might be asking for trouble!
I generally cycle through three main colors, the main body color, secondary body color and mane color as what to blend and use an online color mixer that I will link below. Extra colors I will work in however they will look best.
Patterns I just kind of have to eyeball and implement them, generally with one parent influencing a little more heavily.
Because Eosi are gender fluid, this grants a lot of leeway with allowing people to pick a lot of pairings with the same "stud" so to speak, but also allow those pregnant eosi to stud elsewhere. I felt this was most fair considering breeding season is only once a year.
However this does prevent too many repeated pairings of the SAME pair, as essentially they are taking turns impregnating each other.
Eventually I may police harder whom is studding and whom is pregnant, but for now things are pretty relaxed.

Tips for pairing!
Knee jerk we all want to grab the most stunning, and trait heavy eosi and slap them together right?
My advice would be to take your time. Take matching traits into consideration to increase your chances.
Look at their patterns and try to picture how they might look like if they were mashed together or if you're willing to risk the baby taking strongly after one parent over the other.
lastly, and MOST importantly. Look at their colors and check them on the linked tool. I cannot stress enough how important this is for a well balanced baby. Check the most dominant body colors and mane colors especially. If you're looking for crazy eyebleed matches, great! but if you want something that blends nicely, be particular and take your time.
