Given my love for Scar, I was a little surprised when the first lion I painted from TLK turned out to be Kovu. TLK characters are weird to paint because they don't actually have a black outline. Instead they have a darker version of the body color so it takes more time to do and much more difficult to match. It was really tricky to get the outline colors right but I managed to pull it off. I'm not sure if I'll every sell this one because Kovu is so handsome, but if I ever get around to making a Nuka one, then I might consider it. Looking at the photo I took of it, the glare makes it look really splotchy. I can assure you that it doesn't look like that in normal lighting.

I do plan on probably doing a Swat Kats poster next, but if anyone has any suggestions on what they would like to see, please feel free to let me know.
