Why did you put a red tail boa in a desert environment?....

Why are you so worried about it? The person this was for had a red-tailed boa at the time, and she lived in the desert.

For logical art sake it just doesn't make sense at all. Maybe a garter snake or even a viper would have worked better. The snake is very handsome but it's like.....oh, a red tail boa. Next to a primary mesa. That's a bit out of place.

Again, the person in the picture had one as a pet. You'd see that if you read up in the comments or the actual description, I've already addressed this when someone else asked. Who the fuck cares about accuracy anyway? This is a site full of dog people with magical dragon wings and rainbow fur. I think we've thrown geographical and biological sense right out the window already.

And just a heads up, I don't know why people randomly like to start commenting on art that's over 3 years old, my guess is you found it through someone else's faves or something. But I can already see where this is going - you don't know me, you're not familiar with my art or my personality, so now you're gonna come here and make know-it-all comments and attempt to get into a debate with a "popular" artist so you can have the satisfaction of saying "wow she's a total bitch, what a popufur" and reinforce the stereotype that all popular artists are snobby. You've already taken up much more of my time than is deserved so I'm not going to comment further after this, and you're going to think what you want about me and probably say something else snotty to get the last word (and there's nothing stopping me from deleting ALL of your comments and blocking you outright), but take note of how many people DO hang around my page and buy art from me and entertain the thought for just a minute that I might actually be a nice person, I just don't like people who randomly show up on my submissions and try to point out flaws in logistics when they aren't even willing to read the reasoning it.

Yes, I understand red-tailed boas are a tropical species. Had I just been drawing a boa, I would have put it in a jungle environment. But the point of this piece was to show Myenia in her own habitat with her favorite pet, so why don't we just pretend she's taking a walk and has removed her snake from it's cage to get some fresh air for a while okay? Will that let you sleep better at night?
