It begins! This is the season premier, so to speak, for the final season of Sonic GeneX: the Series! This year, I will use shorts along with full-length chapters... I'm trying to keep myself from killing my arms again, and shorts will help pad out the season length. Otherwise, I'd just be doing 5 chapters...

But yeah, the season is titled "Countdown to Doomsday." Waaay back at the beginning of the series, the Doomsayer made a prophecy that the world would end. The time of his prophecy draws near, and our heroes will have to prepare themselves for the coming final battle.

The opening scene here is designed to remind readers where we left off. It takes place shortly after the last chapter from last season. However, there will be a time skip for part 2 next month...

Once this season is done, I will commence work on the STILL-untitled final entry in the series...which may end up being the third fangame in my trilogy as was always intended, but I've been back & forth on that for a while. The second game took way too much out of me and never was finished :/
