This is why I don't bother with this crap, also why I don't even try hitting on anyone male or female. I tried it once both ends, failed horribly both times, in fact the guy completely ignored me. So in a situation like this I'd have the same thing happen to me I know it, so why bother? Also I want to hug him, kiss him and cuddle him for a while till he feels better. :)
if i may inject some of my (completely optional) "real world" insight into this event:
♦ from a.. .."furry" perspective, old em's objectively rather attractive — that includes his variation of "dad bod"
´just, due to, either / or:and, his inexperience or his nervousness, emery happened to had took a crappy pic
♦ also partially due to em's inexperience, he did not appear to check to see what the "type" was, his potential suitor was looking for.
some guys do specify. . . . some guys (like me, for instance) do not specify. not one single detail. other than with, have a gods damnèd recent face + torso pic !!
in the event "type" was not specified, em wasn't seasoned enough to know to ask about that. (though technically that's what having the "goods" pic is for.
{´cuz, if you're Out There seeking anything that isn't a 100% platonic friendship, i feel it better to be upfront with what you have: the better to be rejected electronically, upfront, than to delay it to Real Life.}
it's the easiest thing in the world, kind of, to lay the foundation down: when one suitor tells ya he reckons wants to shag with you, and you in turn strongly reckon you want to shag with him, you tell him as much.
