"Azure Spirit", 2.5" x 3.5" mixed media, 2017. I began this piece during my Iceland trip while sitting in front of a roaring waterfall, and finished during my journey home. Though a fairly small painting, it reinforced a lesson I've been trying to teach myself about not trying to make a piece be more than it needs to be-- sometimes you just have to trust the initial spirit of an artistic concept.
