"Landing at Hornstrandir", 2.5" x 3.5" ink and gouache on toned paper, 2017. During my Iceland travels, I spent 5 days hiking the Hornstrandir Nature Preserve, one of the most remote areas of the country. Upon landing on the shores of Veiðileyufjörður, where I was dropped off at the start of my hike, I was so struck by the gorgeous untouched natural surroundings that I had to stop and do this drawing.
