As I gazed into the photograph, I saw what appeared to be an eye staring back. It was both horrifying and beautiful at once. In it's blurry glory, I could see the truth unfold before me. It exists. It is real. My fears were all too real.
The black sphere in the picture, that swirling vortex of darkness and the fiery tint around it's borders confirmed to me that there are places where time holds no meaning.
Our laws do not exist there. Nothing does. Only the dark star mattered here. No thoughts. No fear. No love. Nothing. Only the dark star.
This was a god. A dark god. An old god. A destroyer. A savior. It is chaos. It is order. We need it but do not want it. A necessary evil and an eternal mystery that we feeble mortals will never solve.
It does not care about our fears. It does not care about our desires. It does not care about us.
All that matters is the dark star. Only the dark star.
