"You may fly over a land forever; you may bomb it, atomize it, pulverize it and wipe it clean of life – but if you desire to defend it, protect it, and keep it for civilization, you must do this on the ground, the way the Roman legions did, by putting your young men into the mud." — T.R. FehrenbachThe picture shows ILA soldiers of an ethnically mixed rifle team returning from the frontlines in Carrenia on June 774. The rifle team is the basic building blocks of the Imperial Land Army, As the name suggests it fights as a team and is the key maneuver unit in any platoon operation. A typical rifle team normally consists of four infantrymen: an automatic rifleman, a grenadier, a rifleman and a designated team leader.
The automatic rifleman is a critical member of the team as he had the ability to lay down a large volume of fire. The foxtaur automatic rifleman on the far left wears a 772 pattern field jacket with pre-war 695 pattern webbings similar to those worn by bipedal troops. Taurform troops were issued similar equipment to bipedal troops without pants, socks and boots. Each automatic riflemen is issued a G60A2 general purpose machine gun, which are reverse-engineered M60 machine gun chambered for 6.35×51 mm rounds. The 50-round drum magazine and canvas bag for 100-round belt are available for the G60 machine gun, although the preferred method of carrying ammunition is to slung the 250-rounds ammo belt over torso for easy access. He also carries a tool bag which contains bottle of lubricant, spare parts, tool kit and spare barrels for his machine gun.
A team leader leads his rifle team with 'do as I do' attitude, and any team leader worth his salt will always lead the way for his team. A team leader normally held the rank of Corporal, although team leaders with the rank of Lance Corporal are not uncommon in times of war. Other than the additional stripes on his shoulder, a team leader's equipment and appearance are otherwise similar to that of an ordinary rifleman. He is armed with a G2A4 select-fire battle rifle, the penultimate variant of the ubiquitous G2 battle rifle. Like the G60 machine gun, it is chambered for 6.35×51 mm rounds and came with a screw-on muzzle brake to eliminate G2A1's tendency to climb in full-auto mode.
The grenadier provides indirect fire support and limited anti-tank capability for the rifle team. to achieve this, he is equipped with G7 Rifle Grenade Adapter that can be clamped into the muzzle of his G2A4 rifle, he is also issued G231 Blank Cartridges to launch the 40 mm G23 HE or G25 HEAT rifle grenades. An alternative method of carrying rifle magazine is by using a cloth bandolier as shown in the picture, the grenadier carries his rifle grenades in the canvas pouch specially made to hold 3 rounds of grenades.
The cornerstone of the rifle team is the individual rifleman. The rank of the rifleman is an Infantryman and he is armed with a G2A4 rifle. He will focus his attention on individual targets. A rifleman may also be asked to carry extra ammunition for the team, which carried inside large canvas pouch on his webbing. On every other rifle team in a rifle section, the rifleman is a designated marksman with the rank of Lance Corporal. The designated marksman is typically equipped with G2AM Designated Marksman Rifle, a semi-automatic variant of G2A2 fitted with heavy match-grade barrel and 3-9× Adjustable Range Telescope.
Two rifle teams, usually designated 'alpha' and 'bravo' team, made up an Infantry rifle section. A rifle section normally led by a Sergeant or Senior Sergeant and is responsible for receiving an intent from command and implementing that using the two fire teams under his command.

One thing I like best about this image is in the way you gave each character a sense of individual "Personality". Of course I'd like to see how the Foxtaurs fit into the various units, but the Shiba Inu, the "Camel" and the Great Dane have subtle facial traits that remind me of some of the guys I used to hang out with when I was younger. Well done!
Thank you! The 'camel' is, in fact, an eland. Cervid and Bovine troops in the ILA are required to cut their horns to conform with uniform regulations. Over time they use 'horn' hand sign as the pride of antlered/horned troops like shown in the picture, although nobody knows who, when or where this practice started.
I have the backstory for each of them actually. The foxtaur, for example, was a well known village hunter until his village was burned to the ground by a Carrenian air raid

The machine gun is indeed an M60 derivative, This is exactly how imagined it https://i.pinimg.com/originals/72/8.....a71eb25835.jpg
