The day had left them haggard, narrowly escaping the pitfalls of the city and making their way towards the treacheries of the next. Their mounts as exhausted as themselves, the roaming pair had set up camp deep in the woods, far enough from the reaches of the guards to sleep comfortably. Rags, with his roguish wit, had lain wire traps around the area to alert them to any on-comers. Chim, adept with fire magic, had already conjured a camp fire for them. With no one around and the solitude of the night ahead of them, Rags settled back into the lap of his lover, the rabbit mage wrapping his arms around his raccoon companion and holding him tight. The two embraced before the fire, sharing in both the warmth of the flames and their bodies.
