This is a really nice line, and I'd have been quite happy with this as my starter in a game! ^^
Was hoping there'd be some kind of sailor/pirate-theme judging from the name, so I am definitely not disappointed.
The twist with it evolving from a cutesy dolphin-like creature to a fearsome shark/orca-like one is a nice touch as well, kinda like teddybear-looking Oshawott evolving into Samurott.
As for the typing, I can't really say much given that I'm not much of a competitive player.
I'm more into shiny-hunting myself, so if they avoid the common "blue turns magenta"-thing that plagues too many water-types/blue Pokémon, I'd say it's just the kind of starter line that appeal to me!
All in all, I feel happy with my pick! ^^

At least I instantly start to think of Poison or something when I see them. Already something like a sea-foam green would be a huge improvement.
