grumlen is a trickster who likes to change something temporarily in some not-that-subtle way that makes no sense, like making that poster on the opposite side of your bedroom upside down, and you can clearly see that it is upside down, but then you put down your iphone and headphones to go examine it to see if you're crazy and grumlen has changed it back to normal and you go, "huh, i guess i was imagining it," because that would have made no sense if it had *actually* been upside down precisely until you examined it and no longer, even though you actually did clearly see that it was upside down and then right side up. when grumlen does this to most people they will think they imagined it and simply go on about there day and forget it ever happened, but a rare few people will go "hey..... w-who did that? show yourself?" at which point grumlen will show himself and begin a 2 question sequence, the 2nd question only presenting itself if they answer the 1st question positively. the 1st question grumlen asks the person is "would you like me to disappear from your life and make you forget i appeared before you and asked you this question?" of course, being the trickster that he is, grumlen will indeed disappear from the person's life completely, with no efforts by them or any other lifeform capable of bringing him or any evidence of him before them again, but he will not make them forget he appeared before them and asked them a question until the chronological halfway point between the moment he disappears in a puff of blue fog and the person's moment of death.

however, if the person answers negatively to the 1st question, grumlen asks them "would you like me to disappear and give you what you truly desire most of all?" if the person answers negatively to this question, grumlen will disappear in a puff of blue fog and the person will immediately lose all memory of grumlen appearing before them and asking them either question. but if they answer positively, he will disappear in a puff of blue fog, and the person will get what they truly desire most of all at that exact moment... precisely at the chronological halfway point between that moment and that person's moment of death. Such a trickster, grumlen. out to ruin things for everybody!
