Just a little piece I did today. It is by no means my best work, but I felt I needed to create something. Here we have Quasimodo gluing pieces onto a small replica of the cathedral, like he had in the Disney film.

I created this piece to show that, although Notre Dame may be in its darkest hour, I don't believe this is the end for this beautiful cathedral. This fire was devastating, but Notre Dame can be rebuilt, and perhaps even stronger than before.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame, namely Quasimodo, has had a profound impact on my life, especially the Disney version. It has influenced so many of my creative endeavors. Quasimodo was my first crush, but he was also a character I related to in many ways. I was an outcast, often picked on and mistreated by my peers for the crime of being "different." Quasimodo's character made me feel a little less lonely growing up. I'd always dreamed of going to Paris and seeing Notre Dame for myself, and I still hope to get the chance, someday.
