Bio:
Ydhee was born on the 7th of Feppo in 11.985 DD in a large colony of nomadic marines which moved from the lands of Krull-kri to the country of Duman as traffickers and gypsies.
In the nucleus where she grows there is no family distinction, so it is as if she had no parents and her brothers were the other marines in the camp. Her surname Erin-hé is simply the name of the group.
Being Ydhee's species smaller in size than the other sharks, she suffers abuse and violence daily both by the brothers and by the adults of the camp, seeing the ones like her inferior.
Devoid of any reference or support she, like the other smaller marines (among which there is however nothing but competition) is used by the "family" for drug dealing, for alms, shoplifting and every time she returns to the camp with less money than required is punished and beaten by the "parent" of the day.
For her the most humiliating thing is asking for alms as she is physically weaker than the others, but it's necessary to be able to eat.
In that competitive and ruthless environment the only person with whom she can make friends, isolated as she is, is another black tip shark named Zaduhz who, due to a disease that makes him weak and fragile, is almost always forced on the cot and isolated from the whole camp.
When she can, Ydhee brings him all the food she is able to scrape together, even dividing her ration with him and helping him as she can, alone in a world without mercy.
With the arrival of winter his condition worsened further, becoming ill with pneumonia: to get him the necessary medicines she needed money and Ydhee made the decision to conceal herself with the other girls in the camp who prostituted themselves in the nearby city. Ydhee is 8 years old at the time.
The only customer she manages to find pay her very well, so that she can afford to buy medicine and food at the camp, however on the way back she is intercepted by one of his older brothers, a bull shark named Opph, who the beats her to steal all the money from the day. Ydhee does not give up without a fight, biting him so hard to hurt him and losing a tooth due to his fist.
When she regains her senses Opph has disappeared with her money, then returns to the camp where she receives no punishment but neither help, falling asleep on her bed deprived of energy, wounded in body and soul.
When she wakes up she looks for Zaduhz but discovers that the closet where his cot was is empty and while she slept he died.
Ydhee, left alone with a sense of guilt, being dirty and humiliation, takes refuge in the only positive feeling she can remember: she returns to the place where she clashed with Opph and digging in the snow finds the tooth lost in the fight, symbol of the strength she had managed to find in that moment. From that moment on she would become stronger, the strongest of all, thus embracing the violent culture of the marines and her family.
Back at the camp she stops begging and dedicates herself to thefts and robberies or to any violent crime, training in the meantime and developing a stronger musculature than her similar breeds.
It is rarely seen at the Opph camp while she is preparing for her revenge.
At 10, Ydhee manages to enter one of the camp's gangs that deal with organized crimes, peddling and robberies.
Unfortunately for her the glory does not last long: as soon as she entered the gang she discovers that the head of this is none other than Zaduhz himself, who had never really died:
as a smaller marine and weaker than the others he had always pretended to be seriously ill to manipulate the more fragiles and sufferings with pity to be able to exploit them. So he had managed to accumulate enough wealth to become the leader of the gang; Ydhee was the only one so useless to be able to get him only food instead of money.
Since the gang specializes in robbery and theft and consists only of males, Zaduhz decides that the role of the new recruit will be, in spite of her strength and value demonstrated, that of the prostitute, to extend their influence on new sectors and being Ydhee now entered into age allowed according to marine gypsy standards to regularly sell her body with others.
At the same time, Ydhee discovers that Opph, who has not been around for some time, works as a direct subordinate of Zaduhz within the gang and that from that moment on he would be Ydhee's superior (he even advises Zaduhz of use she as a prostitute).
Ydhee's soul finally breaks into pieces, losing all reason for life and realizing that she is living in a gigantic lie, a scam in which any weakness or strength are manipulative tools of which she was only a toy.
She refuses to prostitute herself and for this she is first threatened and then beaten by the gang, but she does not care: she will never give up her body to anyone again, the proud little girl even if destroyed will never give up anything again.
Failing to convince her by force, Opph strikes her with a knife in revenge, leaving her face with a scar that will remain with her for life so that no one could want her anymore and leaves her in a room to die.
She no longer cares about anything, stops eating or doing anything else but waiting for the end.
A few weeks later the marine camp in the Duman is stormed by the NCM militias with orders to arrest all the criminals and clear the camp: in front of the armed forces the chaos is unleashed with the gypsies who flee in every direction to escape arrest or insertion in orphanages for minors.
In the NCM platoon there is a hawk named Shakrov who, in addition to his official work, works directly under Torn Weidderg, a political mediator who was one of the promoters of the closure of the marine camps in the south of Giondia.
Shakrov finds Ydhee in a room, undernourished and dehydrated, with the wound on the muzzle still swollen, the strong adult muscles returned those of a child, she instead of running away as others have done simply stares him in the eyes, indifferent to fear, holding a small tooth in her hand.
Shakrov, impressed by the view, contacts Torn and picks up the little shark girl from the camp personally, dividing her from her family and her life forever.
Ydhee finds herself in a private hospital clinic where she is medical treated and fed under Torn's watchful eye who, once she has recovered, introduces himself and explains to her that he wants to adopt her, making her live at his home under his protective wing .
The kindness towards her and the elegance of that affect the girl who accepts, without asking any question, the offer of the politician.
Resolved some bureaucratic issues, during which time Ydhee remains a guest of the clinic, she moved to Torn's apartment in the city of Viridia, in the state of Pantakas, thus officially becoming Torn Weidderg's adopted daughter and assuming his surname. There she has a quiet place to live and prepare for entering school.
Torn is always sweet and kind to her but is almost always absent because of his job and due the fact that he has other adopted boys and girls around the world, so she spends most of the time alone, with the only company of private teachers or home cleaners and food preparation staff.
After a few months, she enter Viridia's Comprehensive School, a state school that brings together children and young people from various social backgrounds to get them used to common life and prepare them for work; Ydhee is now 11 years old.
Growing up in a hostile and ferocious environment, she is unable to integrate herselft into the new environment composed mainly of serene and spoiled children, she does not understand the restrictive rules of behavior and turns into a bully, which attacks and takes advantage of the weakest (and not only them).
In particular, she dislikes two students from another class who are younger than her: a boy named Neist (goat) and a cockatoo girl named Sylvia, both of good family and solitary compared to the others.
Ydhee constantly bullies them and uses every opportunity to get her hands on them.
Meanwhile, Torn returns more and more rarely at home and Ydhee starts to learn to live alone, refusing the entrance to anyone and using the delivered meals to secretly develop the pleasure of cooking and reworking food, waiting for the day in which she will be able to prepare the lunch for Torn, towards which she develops an ever deeper attachment.
One day, in one of the many scuffles with Neist and Sylvia, these together succeed for the first time in hurting the shark girl enough to be able to drive her away, leaving all three of them battered with bruises. Ydhee shortly after meets a gang of bullies, all older than 15 years, and instead of giving up the step defies them openly with arrogance, without any fear, which leads the group to take up the challenge and attack she all together.
Neist and Sylvia, who had accidentally witnessed the scene unnoticed, cannot remain indifferent to that bully which, despite everything, had never been helped by anyone and had always fought alone. Sylvia drags Neist into the fray and the two sides with Ydhee, despite the still fresh bruises.
The fight ends with the three defeated and beaten up, but also the group of thugs brings back a couple of wounded, no longer able to continue, reason for which they abandon the fight without further raging.
Once the others have disappeared, Ydhee recoveres from the fight and is incredibly amazed by the gesture of his two victims, she picks up from the ground a broken tooth during the scuffle and shows it to the two with pride, explaining that for marine ancestors is a symbol of pride, proof of an important fight.
For the first time in her life Ydhee opens with someone, finding in the two youngs a courage and generosity worthy of her uncompromising esteem. Ydhee is 12 when she meets her first friends.
They will be the first to taste her cooking skills and her attitude changes towards them, showing her sweet and clumsy side, not used to this new situation.
She also has the opportunity to be a guest several times at Neist's house, showing her shyer side towards the family of him and developing a more intimate friendship with him, although she is always in love with Torn with whom she spends sporadic but intense moments during which they eat together what she cooked or go at luna park or at some event, with Torn making her feel like a princess all the times.
Sylvia takes on the role of Ydhee's older sister, while still maintaining her easygoing and carefree behavior.
For the first time Ydhee tries what a normal life is and with her new friends she begins to become a bit bourgeois, however she dresses and always remains a thug whose criminal past manifests itself if the situation requires.
During the following years she became passionate about history, delving further into the origins and pride of her people: she approached for the first time her real culture so much to join the Esh-mah class, a martial art specialized for fighting both on land and under water, used by aquatic raiders during the 91st century wars.
When she reached the age of 16 she get a tattoo of the Tebusu pipe on her left arm (very trendy among the marines), a symbol of the attainment of peace between the land peoples and the sea peoples, which would have been able to walk freely on all territories of the first.
At that time she was approached by a group of Viridia marines who, noticing her abilities, invited her to join their group of criminals: she joined them, feeling the call of her old world.
Sylvia had long shared with the other two her curiosity and fascination with her father's military career and often dragged them into her outdoor activities, taking them where her father, Colonel Otakar carried her as a child, even managing to get permits to visit the Nova Pride barracks (the autonomous defense body of the state of Pantakas) for all the three.
It's 12.002 dd and the day of their visit is remembered as the Judas Incident.
On that same day the 636 Squad led by the rat-smilodon hybrid Zack is sent on a mission and a seventeen-year-old Ydhee has the opportunity to exchange a couple of words with him before his departure. Zack taunts her and warns her of that life, but at the same time is clearly inciting her with his words of pride, duty and responsibility.
On that same day Sylvia takes Ydhee with her, detaching herself from the more calm and diligent Neist, sneaking into the base, stumbling into a hangar with the first prototypes of HAL Suits combat exoskeletons, able to allow levitation in flight thanks to a core made of Arkenite's mineral.
Thinking back to the meeting with Zack and the guerrilla war in Duxel (caused by the Judas incident) Ydhee feels a great shame for herself and for what she is doing with her life, deciding to interrupt all attendance with the group of criminals, not wanting to have more to do with that world.
After the events of those days, Zack became a wanted terrorist for having apparently murdered a NCM politician of Viridia and the Nova Pride program underwent major changes, wanting a more civilized and less military approach to the country's security operation, so that from now on for the activation of the lethal forces of a team is always necessary that all the three members of it agree, otherwise the functions of their armamentary are strongly limited.
Furthermore, a computerized system is inserted which acts as an entry test for anyone wishing to join the Nova Pride, known as the Airing Test, in which the candidate is carried by a machine (also called an Airing Machine) in a state of hypnosis where the unconscious and subconscious signals are recorded to then be processed by a system of Artificial Intelligences so as to establish whether the subject is within the parameters in order to be morally fit for the role.
The new Nova Pride teams will have to be civilians whose ethics and morality are innate, capable of helping and defending people in need, not destroying or taking advantage of the weak.
Although Ydhee is a year older than Neist and Sylvia they attend the same school year and graduate together when she is 19 years old. After the trauma of being a prostitute at age 8, Ydhee never let men touch her again, feeling she only wanted Torn and developed a strong jealousy towards him and envy of his other children and especially his adopted daughters.
At 19 Sylvia convinces Neist to take the Airing test and Neist reassures Ydhee: she has always suffered because of her past and being followed by psychologists as a problematic girl has not changed that, since she is always on the edge between her new life of bourgeois with her friends and her most violent and criminal side.
The test will be held for them on the 7th of the month of Feppo, the day of the twentieth birthday of Ydhee: she renounces to participate to spend the day with Torn returning from a long period of absence, always due to work, but unfortunately that day she finds that he will not be able to return in time for her birthday.
In the discouragement and clash of emotions of anger and despair she takes the decision not to stay at home that day to wait for a so impossible and inconsistent love, that she must follow her own path which is the same that brings to her friends, even if the test should go bad and find herself incompatible with them.
She leaves home and reaches Neist and Sylvia who welcome her with joy at the Nova Pride barracks and the three enthusiastically face the test.
The following days Ydhee is very anxious waiting for the test response, until the day when it arrives and it is for Neist and Sylvia positive ... and incredibly for her too.
Without having time to celebrate the test response, Torn returns home to her, surprising her as he already knows of her participation and of response to the test: Torn reveals to Ydhee that he has put pressure, thanks to his political power, on the results to be positive in any case. On the one hand, this makes her immensely happy and makes her feel loved, making her to forgive Torn's absence (motivated by his commitment to help her follow her path), but on the other hand, this develpes her insecurities and the feeling of guilt.
The three friends thus become part of the Nova Pride: they follow the classes and trainings and at the same time continue to study at the university (Ydhee chooses the path of tourism and gastronomy); they are inserted in the same team, the 636, the same one that once was composed of Zack, Lynn and Gillian (whose tracks have long been lost, although most wanted all over the world).
Inside the Nova Pride the three youngs develop friendships and rivalries: while outside the base they preserve their bourgeois life, when they are on a mission they wear the role of heroes, wearing the HAL Suits (now become standard armamentary).
It is the evening of 12 Fotolalte 12.008 dd: the trio is having fun in a club of Viridia when the music stops to let space to the breaking news of a terrible nuclear explosion in the near city of Duxel ...

Ydhee nasce il 7 di Feppo del 11.985 DD in una grande colonia di marini nomadi la quale si sposta dalle lande del Krull-kri allo stato del Duman come trafficanti e zingari.
Nel nucleo dove cresce non c'è distinzione di famiglia, quindi è come se non avesse genitori e i suoi fratelli erano gli altri marini del campo. Il suo cognome Erin-hé è semplicemente il nome del gruppo.
Essendo la specie di Ydhee di taglia minore rispetto agli altri squali essa subisce soprusi e violenze quotidianamente sia dai fratelli che dagli adulti nel campo, vedendo quelli come lei inferiori.
Priva di alcun riferimento o appoggio, lei come gli altri marini minuti (tra i quali non vi è comunque altro che competizione) viene usata dalla “famiglia” per lo spaccio di droga, per l'elemosina, taccheggio ed ogni volta che porta al campo meno soldi di quanto richiesto subisce punizioni e percosse dal “genitore” della giornata.
Per lei la cosa più umiliante è proprio chiedere l'elemosina in quanto fisicamente più debole degli altri, ma necessario per poter mangiare.
In quell'ambiente competitivo e spietato l'unica persona con cui riesce a fare amicizia, isolata come è, è un altro squalo pinna nera di nome Zaduhz il quale, a causa di una malattia che lo rende debole e fragile, è costretto quasi sempre sulla branda ed isolato da tutto il campo.
Ydhee quando può gli porta tutto il mangiare che riesce a racimolare, dividendo addirittura la sua razione con lui e aiutandolo come può, soli in un mondo senza pietà.
Con l'arrivo dell'inverno le sue condizioni peggiorano ulteriormente, ammalandosi di polmonite: per procurargli le medicine necessarie servono soldi e Ydhee prende la decisione di unirsi di nascosto alle altre ragazze del campo che si prostituiscono nella città vicina. Ydhee in quel momento ha 8 anni.
L'unico cliente che riesce a trovare la paga molto bene, così da poterle permettere di acquistare al campo medicine e cibo, tuttavia sul percorso di ritorno essa viene intercettata da uno dei suoi fratelli maggiori, uno squalo toro di nome Opph, il quale la massacra di botte per rubarle tutto il ricavato della giornata. Ydhee non si arrende senza combattere però, mordendolo così forte da ferirlo e perdendo un dente a causa di un suo pugno.
Quando lei riprende i sensi Opph è scomparso con i suoi soldi, ritorna al campo dove non riceve nessuna punizione ma neanche aiuto, addormentandosi sulla sua branda priva di energie, ferita nel corpo e nell'anima.
Al suo risveglio cerca Zaduhz ma scopre che lo sgabuzzino ove si trovava la sua branda è vuota e che mentre lei dormiva lui è morto.
Ydhee rimasta sola con il senso di colpa, l'essere sporca e l'umiliazione, si rifugia nell'unica sensazione positiva che riesca a ricordare: torna al luogo dove si era scontrata con Opph e scavando nella neve ritrova il dente perso nello scontro, simbolo della forza che era riuscita a trovare in quel momento. Da quel momento sarebbe diventata più forte, la più forte di tutte, abbracciando così la cultura violenta dei marini e della sua famiglia.
Tornata al campo smette di fare l'elemosina e si dedica ai furti e rapine o a qualsiasi crimine violento, allenandosi nel frattempo e sviluppando una muscolatura maggiore rispetto ai suoi simili coetanei.
Al campo Opph lo si vede raramente, mentre lei si prepara alla sua rivalsa.
A 10 anni Ydhee riesce ad entrare in una delle bande del campo le quali si occupano di crimini organizzati, di spaccio e rapine.
Purtroppo per lei la gloria dura poco: appena entrata nella gang scopre che il capo di questa non è altri che Zaduhz in persona, il quale non era mai realmente morto:
come marino più piccolo e debole rispetto agli altri egli si era sempre finto gravemente malato per manipolare con la pietà gli altri più fragili e sofferenti per poterli sfruttare. Così era riuscito ad accumulare abbastanza ricchezze da diventare in breve tempo capo della gang; Ydhee era l'unica così inutile da riuscire a procurarle solo cibo invece di soldi.
Essendo la gang specializzata in furti e rapine e composta solo da maschi Zaduhz decide che il ruolo della nuova recluta sarà, a dispetto della sua forza e valore dimostrati, quello della prostituta così da estendere la loro influenza su nuovi settori ed essendo Ydhee entrata ormai nell'età consentita secondo gli standard degli zingari marini per vendere regolarmente il suo corpo con le altre.
Nello stesso momento Ydhee scopre che Opph, il quale non si faceva vedere in giro da tempo, lavora come sottoposto diretto di Zaduhz all'interno della gang e che da quel momento sarebbe stato il superiore di Ydhee (addirittura è lui a consigliare a Zaduhz di usarla come prostituta).
L'animo di Ydhee finisce definitivamente in pezzi, perdendo ogni ragione di vita e rendendosi conto di essere vissuta in una gigantesca bugia, una truffa nella quale qualsiasi debolezza o forza sono strumenti di manipolazione di cui lei è stata solo un giocattolo.
Ella rifiuta di prostituirsi e per questo viene prima minacciata e poi picchiata dalla gang, ma a lei non importa: non cederà mai più il suo corpo a nessuno, l'orgogliosa ragazzina anche se distrutta non cederà mai più nulla.
Non riuscendola a convincerla con la forza Opph per vendetta la colpisce con un coltello al viso lasciandole una cicatrice che le rimarrà per tutta la vita così che nessuno possa più volerla e la lascia in una stanza a morire.
A lei non interessa più nulla, smette di mangiare o di fare qualsiasi altra cosa se non aspettare che tutto finisca.
Qualche settimana dopo il campo di marini nel Duman viene preso d'assalto dalle milizie della NCM con l'ordine di arrestare tutti i criminali e sgomberare il campo: di fronte alle forze armate il chaos si scatena con gli zingari che fuggono in ogni direzione per fuggire all'arresto o all'inserimento in orfanotrofi per i minori.
A far parte del plotone dell'NCM vi è un falco di nome Shakrov il quale, oltre al suo lavoro ufficiale, lavora alle dirette dipendenze di Torn Weidderg, mediatore politico il quale è stato uno dei promotori dell'azione di chiusura dei campi dei marini nel sud di Giondia.
Shakrov trova Ydhee in una stanza, denutrita e disidratata, con la ferita sul muso ancora gonfia, i muscoli forti di adulta son tornati quelli di una bambina la quale invece di scappare come han fatto gli altri semplicemente lo fissa negli occhi, indifferente alla paura, tenendo stretto nella mano un piccolo dente.
Shakrov rimanendo impressionato dal suo sguardo contatta Torn e preleva la piccola ragazzina squalo dal campo personalmente, dividendola dagli altri suoi coetani e dalla sua vita per sempre.
Ydhee si ritrova in una clinica ospedaliera privata dove viene curata e rifocillata dietro lo sguardo vigile di Torn il quale, una volta che lei si è ripresa, le si presenta e le spiega di volerla adottare, facendola vivere a casa sua sotto la sua ala protettiva.
La gentilezza nei suoi confronti e l'eleganza di quel colpiscono la ragazzina che accetta, senza fare alcuna domanda, l'offerta del politico.
Risolte alcune questioni burocratiche, durante il cui tempo Ydhee rimane ospite della clinica, si trasferisce nell'appartamento di Torn nella città di Viridia, nello stato delle Pantakas, divenendo così ufficialmente figlia adottiva di Torn Weidderg e assumendone il cognome. Lì ha un luogo tranquillo dover vivere e prepararsi al frequentare una scuola.
Torn è sempre dolce e gentile con lei ma è quasi sempre assente a causa del suo lavoro e del fatto che, oltre ad Ydhee, ha altre ragazzi e ragazze adottivi di cui si prende cura sparsi per il mondo, quindi lei passa la maggior parte del tempo comunque da sola, con la compagnia degli insegnanti privati o di addetti alla pulizia della casa e alla preparazione del cibo.
Dopo qualche mese entra nella Scuola Omnicomprensiva Lapale di Viridia, una scuola statale che raggruppa bambini e giovani di varie estrazioni sociali per abituarli alla convivenza comune e prepararli al lavoro; Ydhee ha ora 11 anni.
Cresciuta in un ambiente ostile e feroce, non riesce ad integrarsi nel nuovo ambiente composto principalmente di ragazzini sereni e viziati, non capisce le restrittive regole comportamentali e si trasforma in una bulla, la quale aggredisce e si approfitta dei più deboli (e non solo).
In particolare prova antipatia due studenti di un'altra classe più giovani di lei: un ragazzino di nome Neist (capra) e una ragazzina cracatoa di nome Sylvia, entrambi di buona famiglia e solitari rispetto agli altri.
Ydhee li bullizza continuamente e usa ogni occasione per mettergli le mani addosso.
Nel frattempo Torn torna sempre più raramente a casa ed Ydhee a fatica impara a vivere da sola, rifiutando l'ingresso a chiunque e usando i pasti consegnati per sviluppare in segreto il piacere del cucinare e di rielaborare il cibo, in attesa di poter preparare lei il pranzo per Torn verso il quale sviluppa un attaccamento sempre più profondo.
Un giorno, in una delle tante azzuffate con Neist e Sylvia, questi assieme riescono per la prima volta a fare abbastanza male alla ragazza squalo da riuscire a scacciarla, uscendone tutti e tre martoriati di lividi. Ydhee poco dopo incontra una gang di bulli, tutti più grandi di 15 anni, ai quali invece di cedere il passo li sfida apertamente e con strafottenza, senza alcuna paura, cosa che spinge il gruppo a raccogliere la sfida e ad aggredirla tutti assieme.
Neist e Sylvia, i quali casualmente avevano assistito alla scena non notati, non possono rimanere indifferenti nei riguardi di quella bulla che, nonostante tutto, non si era mai fatta aiutare da nessuno ed aveva sempre combattuto da sola. Sylvia trascina Neist nella mischia ed i due si schierano dalla parte di Ydhee, nonostante i lividi ancora freschi.
La rissa finisce con i tre sconfitti e massacrati di botte, ma anche il gruppo di teppisti riporta un paio di feriti non più in grado di proseguire, motivo per il quale abbandonano la lotta senza infierire ulteriormente.
Una volta scomparsi gli altri Ydhee, ripresasi dal combattimento e incredibilmente stupita dal gesto delle sue due vittime, raccoglie da terra un dente rotto durante la colluttazione e lo mostra a loro due con orgoglio, spiegando che per gli antenati marini quello è un simbolo di orgoglio, prova di un combattimento importante.
Per la prima volta in vita sua Ydhee si apre con qualcuno, trovando nei due ragazzini un coraggio e generosità degni della sua stima senza compromessi. Ydhee ha 12 anni quando conosce i suoi primi amici.
Loro saranno i primi a provare ciò che lei cucina ed l'atteggiamento di lei muta nei loro confronti, mostrando il suo lato dolce e goffo, non abituata a questa nuova situazione.
Ella ha anche occasione di essere ospite più volte a casa di Neist, mostrando il suo lato più timido nei confronti della famiglia e sviluppando con lui un'amicizia più intima, per quanto sempre innamorata del suo tutore Torn con il quale lei passa sporadici ma intensi momenti durante i quali mangiano assieme ciò che lei ha cucinato o escono al luna park o a qualche evento mondano, con Torn che la fa sentire sempre come una principessa.
Sylvia dal canto suo prende il ruolo della sorella maggiore di Ydhee conservando comunque il suo comportamento sbarazzino e spensierato.
Per la prima volta Ydhee prova cosa è una vita normale e con i suoi nuovi amici comincia ad imborghesirsi un po', per quanto si vesta e rimanga sempre una teppista il cui passato criminale si manifesta se la situazione lo richiede.
Durante gli anni successivi si appassiona di storia, scavando ulteriormente sulle origini e orgoglio del suo popolo: si avvicina per la prima volta alla sua cultura reale tanto da iscriversi al corso di Esh-mah, arte marziale adatta alla lotta sia su terra che sott'acqua usata dagli incursori acquatici durante le guerre del 91° secolo.
Raggiunti i 16 anni si fa tatuare sul braccio sinistro la pipa Tebusu (molto di moda tra i marini), simbolo del raggiungimento della pace tra i popoli di terra ed i popoli di mare attraverso la quale i secondi avrebbero potuto camminare liberamente su tutti i territori dei primi.
In quel periodo viene avvicinata da un gruppo di marini di Viridia i quali, notandola le sue capacità e attinenza, la invitano ad unirsi al loro gruppo di criminali: lei si unisce a loro, sentendo il richiamo del suo vecchio mondo.
Sylvia da tempo aveva condiviso con gli altri due la sua curiosità e fascino per la carriera militare del padre e spesso li trascinava nelle sue attività all'aria aperta, portandoli dove suo padre, il colonnello Otakar portava lei da bimba, riuscendo perfino ad ottenere i permessi per poter visitare tutti e tre la caserma della Nova Pride (il corpo di difesa autonomo dello stato delle Pantakas).
E' il 12.002 dd e il giorno della loro visita scoppia ciò che viene ricordato come l'Incidente Judas.
In quello stesso giorno la Squadra 636 capitanata dall'ibrido ratto – smilodonte Zack viene mandata in missione ed una Ydhee diciassettenne ha occasione di scambiare con lui un paio di parole prima della sua partenza. Zack la schernisce e la mette in guardia da quella vita, ma allo stesso tempo la sta chiaramente incitandola con le sue parole di orgoglio, dovere e responsabilità.
In quello stessa giornata Sylvia la prende con sé, distaccandosi dal più calmo e diligente Neist, a sgattaiolare di nascosto per la base, incappando in un hangar nei primi prototipi degli esoscheletri da combattimento H.A.L Suits, in grado di consentire la levitazione in volo grazie ad un nucleo di Arkenite.
Ripensando all'incontro con Zack e alla guerriglia avvenuta a Duxel (causata dall'Incidente Judas) Ydhee prova una grande vergogna per sé stessa e per ciò che sta facendo della sua vita, decidendo così di interrompere ogni frequentazione con il gruppo di criminali, non volendo avere più niente a che fare con quel mondo.
Dopo gli eventi di quei giorni Zack diventa un ricercato come terrorista per l'aver assassinato senza motivo apparente un politico della NCM a Viridia ed il programma Nova Pride subisce dei grandi cambiamenti, volendo un approccio più civile e meno militaresco alle funzioni di sicurezza del paese, tanto che d'ora in poi per l'attivazione delle forze letali di una squadra serve sempre che tutti e tre i membri di quest'ultima siano d'accordo, altrimenti le funzioni del loro armamentario sono fortemente limitate.
Ulteriormente viene inserito un sistema computerizzato che faccia da test d'ingresso a chiunque voglia entrare a far parte della Nova Pride detto Test di Airing nel quale il candidato viene portato da un macchinario (chiamato anch'esso Macchina di Airing) in stato di ipnosi e vengono registrati i segnali di inconscio e subconscio per poi essere elaborati da un sistema di Intelligenze Artificiali così da stabilire se il soggetto sia entro i parametri per poter essere moralmente adatto al ruolo.
Le nuove squadre Nova Pride dovranno essere civili la cui etica e moralità siano innate, in grado di aiutare e difendere le persone in difficoltà, non distruggere o approfittarsi dei più debole.
Nonostante Ydhee abbia un anno in più di Neist e Sylvia essi frequentano lo stesso anno scolastico e si diplomano assieme quando lei ha 19 anni. Dopo il trauma di essersi prostituita a 8 anni Ydhee non si è mai fatta toccare dagli uomini, sentendo di desiderare solo Torn e sviluppando una forte gelosia nei suoi confronti ed invidia per gli altri suoi figli e sopratutto figlie adottive.
A 19 anni Sylvia convince Neist a fare il test di Airing e Neist rassicura Ydhee: lei ha sempre sofferto a causa del suo passato e l'essere seguita da psicologi come ragazza problematica non ha cambiato ciò, essendo lei sempre sul bilico tra la nuova vita borghese con i suoi amici e il suo lato più violento e criminale.
Il test si terrà per loro il giorno 7 del mese di Feppo, giorno del ventesimo compleanno di Ydhee: lei rinuncia a partecipare per passare la giornata con il tutore Torn di ritorno da un lungo periodo di assenza sempre a causa lavorativa, ma purtroppo il giorno stesso scopre che egli non riuscirà a tornare in tempo per il suo compleanno.
Nello sconforto e scontro di emozioni di rabbia e dispiacere prende la decisione di non rimanere lì quel giorno ad aspettare un amore così impossibile ed inconsistente, che deve seguire la sua strada che è la stessa che porta dai suoi amici, anche se il test dovesse andare male e scoprirsi così incompatibile con loro.
Esce di corsa di casa e raggiunge Neist e Sylvia i quali la accolgono con gioia alla caserma Nova Pride e i tre affrontano con entusiasmo il test.
I giorni successivi Ydhee è molto in ansia in attesa del responso del test, fino al giorno in cui questo non arriva ed è per Neist e Sylvia positivo... e incredibilmente anche per lei.
Senza neanche avere il tempo per festeggiare la risposta del test Torn torna a casa da lei, sorprendendola in quanto già a conoscienza della sua partecipazione e responso al test: Torn rivela ad Ydhee di aver fatto pressione, grazie al suo potere politico, affinché i risultati fossero comunque positivi. Questo da un lato la rende immensamente felice e la fa sentire amata, facendole perdonare l'assenza di Torn (motivata dall'impegno di lui nell'aiutarla a seguire la sua strada), ma dall'altro lato incentiva le sue insicurezze e sensi di colpa.
I tre amici entrano così a far parte della Nova Pride: seguono i corsi ed allenamenti e allo stesso tempo continuano a studiare all'università (Ydhee sceglie il percorso di turismo e gastronomia); vengono inseriti nella stessa squadra, la 636, ovvero la stessa che un tempo era composta da Zack, Lynn e Gillian (dei quali si son perse da tempo le tracce, per quanto ricercati in tutto il mondo).
Dentro alla Nova Pride i tre giovani sviluppano amicizie e rivalità, mentre fuori dalla base conservano la loro vita da borghese, tuttavia quando sono in missione vestono i panni degli eroi, indossando le HAL Suits (divenute ormai standard).
E' la sera del 12 Fotolalte 12.008 dd: il trio si sta divertendo in una discoteca di Viridia quando la musica si interrompe per dar spazio alla notizia di una terribile esplosione nucleare nella città vicina di Duxel...
Segni particolari: tatuaggio della pipa Tebusu sul braccio sinistro, ferita orizzontale sul muso, anelli e bracciali borchiati sulla pinna caudale, ciondolo al collo con due denti persi da lei in combattimento.

Ydhee was born on the 7th of Feppo in 11.985 DD in a large colony of nomadic marines which moved from the lands of Krull-kri to the country of Duman as traffickers and gypsies.
In the nucleus where she grows there is no family distinction, so it is as if she had no parents and her brothers were the other marines in the camp. Her surname Erin-hé is simply the name of the group.
Being Ydhee's species smaller in size than the other sharks, she suffers abuse and violence daily both by the brothers and by the adults of the camp, seeing the ones like her inferior.
Devoid of any reference or support she, like the other smaller marines (among which there is however nothing but competition) is used by the "family" for drug dealing, for alms, shoplifting and every time she returns to the camp with less money than required is punished and beaten by the "parent" of the day.
For her the most humiliating thing is asking for alms as she is physically weaker than the others, but it's necessary to be able to eat.
In that competitive and ruthless environment the only person with whom she can make friends, isolated as she is, is another black tip shark named Zaduhz who, due to a disease that makes him weak and fragile, is almost always forced on the cot and isolated from the whole camp.
When she can, Ydhee brings him all the food she is able to scrape together, even dividing her ration with him and helping him as she can, alone in a world without mercy.
With the arrival of winter his condition worsened further, becoming ill with pneumonia: to get him the necessary medicines she needed money and Ydhee made the decision to conceal herself with the other girls in the camp who prostituted themselves in the nearby city. Ydhee is 8 years old at the time.
The only customer she manages to find pay her very well, so that she can afford to buy medicine and food at the camp, however on the way back she is intercepted by one of his older brothers, a bull shark named Opph, who the beats her to steal all the money from the day. Ydhee does not give up without a fight, biting him so hard to hurt him and losing a tooth due to his fist.
When she regains her senses Opph has disappeared with her money, then returns to the camp where she receives no punishment but neither help, falling asleep on her bed deprived of energy, wounded in body and soul.
When she wakes up she looks for Zaduhz but discovers that the closet where his cot was is empty and while she slept he died.
Ydhee, left alone with a sense of guilt, being dirty and humiliation, takes refuge in the only positive feeling she can remember: she returns to the place where she clashed with Opph and digging in the snow finds the tooth lost in the fight, symbol of the strength she had managed to find in that moment. From that moment on she would become stronger, the strongest of all, thus embracing the violent culture of the marines and her family.
Back at the camp she stops begging and dedicates herself to thefts and robberies or to any violent crime, training in the meantime and developing a stronger musculature than her similar breeds.
It is rarely seen at the Opph camp while she is preparing for her revenge.
At 10, Ydhee manages to enter one of the camp's gangs that deal with organized crimes, peddling and robberies.
Unfortunately for her the glory does not last long: as soon as she entered the gang she discovers that the head of this is none other than Zaduhz himself, who had never really died:
as a smaller marine and weaker than the others he had always pretended to be seriously ill to manipulate the more fragiles and sufferings with pity to be able to exploit them. So he had managed to accumulate enough wealth to become the leader of the gang; Ydhee was the only one so useless to be able to get him only food instead of money.
Since the gang specializes in robbery and theft and consists only of males, Zaduhz decides that the role of the new recruit will be, in spite of her strength and value demonstrated, that of the prostitute, to extend their influence on new sectors and being Ydhee now entered into age allowed according to marine gypsy standards to regularly sell her body with others.
At the same time, Ydhee discovers that Opph, who has not been around for some time, works as a direct subordinate of Zaduhz within the gang and that from that moment on he would be Ydhee's superior (he even advises Zaduhz of use she as a prostitute).
Ydhee's soul finally breaks into pieces, losing all reason for life and realizing that she is living in a gigantic lie, a scam in which any weakness or strength are manipulative tools of which she was only a toy.
She refuses to prostitute herself and for this she is first threatened and then beaten by the gang, but she does not care: she will never give up her body to anyone again, the proud little girl even if destroyed will never give up anything again.
Failing to convince her by force, Opph strikes her with a knife in revenge, leaving her face with a scar that will remain with her for life so that no one could want her anymore and leaves her in a room to die.
She no longer cares about anything, stops eating or doing anything else but waiting for the end.
A few weeks later the marine camp in the Duman is stormed by the NCM militias with orders to arrest all the criminals and clear the camp: in front of the armed forces the chaos is unleashed with the gypsies who flee in every direction to escape arrest or insertion in orphanages for minors.
In the NCM platoon there is a hawk named Shakrov who, in addition to his official work, works directly under Torn Weidderg, a political mediator who was one of the promoters of the closure of the marine camps in the south of Giondia.
Shakrov finds Ydhee in a room, undernourished and dehydrated, with the wound on the muzzle still swollen, the strong adult muscles returned those of a child, she instead of running away as others have done simply stares him in the eyes, indifferent to fear, holding a small tooth in her hand.
Shakrov, impressed by the view, contacts Torn and picks up the little shark girl from the camp personally, dividing her from her family and her life forever.
Ydhee finds herself in a private hospital clinic where she is medical treated and fed under Torn's watchful eye who, once she has recovered, introduces himself and explains to her that he wants to adopt her, making her live at his home under his protective wing .
The kindness towards her and the elegance of that affect the girl who accepts, without asking any question, the offer of the politician.
Resolved some bureaucratic issues, during which time Ydhee remains a guest of the clinic, she moved to Torn's apartment in the city of Viridia, in the state of Pantakas, thus officially becoming Torn Weidderg's adopted daughter and assuming his surname. There she has a quiet place to live and prepare for entering school.
Torn is always sweet and kind to her but is almost always absent because of his job and due the fact that he has other adopted boys and girls around the world, so she spends most of the time alone, with the only company of private teachers or home cleaners and food preparation staff.
After a few months, she enter Viridia's Comprehensive School, a state school that brings together children and young people from various social backgrounds to get them used to common life and prepare them for work; Ydhee is now 11 years old.
Growing up in a hostile and ferocious environment, she is unable to integrate herselft into the new environment composed mainly of serene and spoiled children, she does not understand the restrictive rules of behavior and turns into a bully, which attacks and takes advantage of the weakest (and not only them).
In particular, she dislikes two students from another class who are younger than her: a boy named Neist (goat) and a cockatoo girl named Sylvia, both of good family and solitary compared to the others.
Ydhee constantly bullies them and uses every opportunity to get her hands on them.
Meanwhile, Torn returns more and more rarely at home and Ydhee starts to learn to live alone, refusing the entrance to anyone and using the delivered meals to secretly develop the pleasure of cooking and reworking food, waiting for the day in which she will be able to prepare the lunch for Torn, towards which she develops an ever deeper attachment.
One day, in one of the many scuffles with Neist and Sylvia, these together succeed for the first time in hurting the shark girl enough to be able to drive her away, leaving all three of them battered with bruises. Ydhee shortly after meets a gang of bullies, all older than 15 years, and instead of giving up the step defies them openly with arrogance, without any fear, which leads the group to take up the challenge and attack she all together.
Neist and Sylvia, who had accidentally witnessed the scene unnoticed, cannot remain indifferent to that bully which, despite everything, had never been helped by anyone and had always fought alone. Sylvia drags Neist into the fray and the two sides with Ydhee, despite the still fresh bruises.
The fight ends with the three defeated and beaten up, but also the group of thugs brings back a couple of wounded, no longer able to continue, reason for which they abandon the fight without further raging.
Once the others have disappeared, Ydhee recoveres from the fight and is incredibly amazed by the gesture of his two victims, she picks up from the ground a broken tooth during the scuffle and shows it to the two with pride, explaining that for marine ancestors is a symbol of pride, proof of an important fight.
For the first time in her life Ydhee opens with someone, finding in the two youngs a courage and generosity worthy of her uncompromising esteem. Ydhee is 12 when she meets her first friends.
They will be the first to taste her cooking skills and her attitude changes towards them, showing her sweet and clumsy side, not used to this new situation.
She also has the opportunity to be a guest several times at Neist's house, showing her shyer side towards the family of him and developing a more intimate friendship with him, although she is always in love with Torn with whom she spends sporadic but intense moments during which they eat together what she cooked or go at luna park or at some event, with Torn making her feel like a princess all the times.
Sylvia takes on the role of Ydhee's older sister, while still maintaining her easygoing and carefree behavior.
For the first time Ydhee tries what a normal life is and with her new friends she begins to become a bit bourgeois, however she dresses and always remains a thug whose criminal past manifests itself if the situation requires.
During the following years she became passionate about history, delving further into the origins and pride of her people: she approached for the first time her real culture so much to join the Esh-mah class, a martial art specialized for fighting both on land and under water, used by aquatic raiders during the 91st century wars.
When she reached the age of 16 she get a tattoo of the Tebusu pipe on her left arm (very trendy among the marines), a symbol of the attainment of peace between the land peoples and the sea peoples, which would have been able to walk freely on all territories of the first.
At that time she was approached by a group of Viridia marines who, noticing her abilities, invited her to join their group of criminals: she joined them, feeling the call of her old world.
Sylvia had long shared with the other two her curiosity and fascination with her father's military career and often dragged them into her outdoor activities, taking them where her father, Colonel Otakar carried her as a child, even managing to get permits to visit the Nova Pride barracks (the autonomous defense body of the state of Pantakas) for all the three.
It's 12.002 dd and the day of their visit is remembered as the Judas Incident.
On that same day the 636 Squad led by the rat-smilodon hybrid Zack is sent on a mission and a seventeen-year-old Ydhee has the opportunity to exchange a couple of words with him before his departure. Zack taunts her and warns her of that life, but at the same time is clearly inciting her with his words of pride, duty and responsibility.
On that same day Sylvia takes Ydhee with her, detaching herself from the more calm and diligent Neist, sneaking into the base, stumbling into a hangar with the first prototypes of HAL Suits combat exoskeletons, able to allow levitation in flight thanks to a core made of Arkenite's mineral.
Thinking back to the meeting with Zack and the guerrilla war in Duxel (caused by the Judas incident) Ydhee feels a great shame for herself and for what she is doing with her life, deciding to interrupt all attendance with the group of criminals, not wanting to have more to do with that world.
After the events of those days, Zack became a wanted terrorist for having apparently murdered a NCM politician of Viridia and the Nova Pride program underwent major changes, wanting a more civilized and less military approach to the country's security operation, so that from now on for the activation of the lethal forces of a team is always necessary that all the three members of it agree, otherwise the functions of their armamentary are strongly limited.
Furthermore, a computerized system is inserted which acts as an entry test for anyone wishing to join the Nova Pride, known as the Airing Test, in which the candidate is carried by a machine (also called an Airing Machine) in a state of hypnosis where the unconscious and subconscious signals are recorded to then be processed by a system of Artificial Intelligences so as to establish whether the subject is within the parameters in order to be morally fit for the role.
The new Nova Pride teams will have to be civilians whose ethics and morality are innate, capable of helping and defending people in need, not destroying or taking advantage of the weak.
Although Ydhee is a year older than Neist and Sylvia they attend the same school year and graduate together when she is 19 years old. After the trauma of being a prostitute at age 8, Ydhee never let men touch her again, feeling she only wanted Torn and developed a strong jealousy towards him and envy of his other children and especially his adopted daughters.
At 19 Sylvia convinces Neist to take the Airing test and Neist reassures Ydhee: she has always suffered because of her past and being followed by psychologists as a problematic girl has not changed that, since she is always on the edge between her new life of bourgeois with her friends and her most violent and criminal side.
The test will be held for them on the 7th of the month of Feppo, the day of the twentieth birthday of Ydhee: she renounces to participate to spend the day with Torn returning from a long period of absence, always due to work, but unfortunately that day she finds that he will not be able to return in time for her birthday.
In the discouragement and clash of emotions of anger and despair she takes the decision not to stay at home that day to wait for a so impossible and inconsistent love, that she must follow her own path which is the same that brings to her friends, even if the test should go bad and find herself incompatible with them.
She leaves home and reaches Neist and Sylvia who welcome her with joy at the Nova Pride barracks and the three enthusiastically face the test.
The following days Ydhee is very anxious waiting for the test response, until the day when it arrives and it is for Neist and Sylvia positive ... and incredibly for her too.
Without having time to celebrate the test response, Torn returns home to her, surprising her as he already knows of her participation and of response to the test: Torn reveals to Ydhee that he has put pressure, thanks to his political power, on the results to be positive in any case. On the one hand, this makes her immensely happy and makes her feel loved, making her to forgive Torn's absence (motivated by his commitment to help her follow her path), but on the other hand, this develpes her insecurities and the feeling of guilt.
The three friends thus become part of the Nova Pride: they follow the classes and trainings and at the same time continue to study at the university (Ydhee chooses the path of tourism and gastronomy); they are inserted in the same team, the 636, the same one that once was composed of Zack, Lynn and Gillian (whose tracks have long been lost, although most wanted all over the world).
Inside the Nova Pride the three youngs develop friendships and rivalries: while outside the base they preserve their bourgeois life, when they are on a mission they wear the role of heroes, wearing the HAL Suits (now become standard armamentary).
It is the evening of 12 Fotolalte 12.008 dd: the trio is having fun in a club of Viridia when the music stops to let space to the breaking news of a terrible nuclear explosion in the near city of Duxel ...

Essendo la specie di Ydhee di taglia minore rispetto agli altri squali essa subisce soprusi e violenze quotidianamente sia dai fratelli che dagli adulti nel campo, vedendo quelli come lei inferiori.
Priva di alcun riferimento o appoggio, lei come gli altri marini minuti (tra i quali non vi è comunque altro che competizione) viene usata dalla “famiglia” per lo spaccio di droga, per l'elemosina, taccheggio ed ogni volta che porta al campo meno soldi di quanto richiesto subisce punizioni e percosse dal “genitore” della giornata.
Per lei la cosa più umiliante è proprio chiedere l'elemosina in quanto fisicamente più debole degli altri, ma necessario per poter mangiare.
In quell'ambiente competitivo e spietato l'unica persona con cui riesce a fare amicizia, isolata come è, è un altro squalo pinna nera di nome Zaduhz il quale, a causa di una malattia che lo rende debole e fragile, è costretto quasi sempre sulla branda ed isolato da tutto il campo.
Ydhee quando può gli porta tutto il mangiare che riesce a racimolare, dividendo addirittura la sua razione con lui e aiutandolo come può, soli in un mondo senza pietà.
Con l'arrivo dell'inverno le sue condizioni peggiorano ulteriormente, ammalandosi di polmonite: per procurargli le medicine necessarie servono soldi e Ydhee prende la decisione di unirsi di nascosto alle altre ragazze del campo che si prostituiscono nella città vicina. Ydhee in quel momento ha 8 anni.
L'unico cliente che riesce a trovare la paga molto bene, così da poterle permettere di acquistare al campo medicine e cibo, tuttavia sul percorso di ritorno essa viene intercettata da uno dei suoi fratelli maggiori, uno squalo toro di nome Opph, il quale la massacra di botte per rubarle tutto il ricavato della giornata. Ydhee non si arrende senza combattere però, mordendolo così forte da ferirlo e perdendo un dente a causa di un suo pugno.
Quando lei riprende i sensi Opph è scomparso con i suoi soldi, ritorna al campo dove non riceve nessuna punizione ma neanche aiuto, addormentandosi sulla sua branda priva di energie, ferita nel corpo e nell'anima.
Al suo risveglio cerca Zaduhz ma scopre che lo sgabuzzino ove si trovava la sua branda è vuota e che mentre lei dormiva lui è morto.
Ydhee rimasta sola con il senso di colpa, l'essere sporca e l'umiliazione, si rifugia nell'unica sensazione positiva che riesca a ricordare: torna al luogo dove si era scontrata con Opph e scavando nella neve ritrova il dente perso nello scontro, simbolo della forza che era riuscita a trovare in quel momento. Da quel momento sarebbe diventata più forte, la più forte di tutte, abbracciando così la cultura violenta dei marini e della sua famiglia.
Tornata al campo smette di fare l'elemosina e si dedica ai furti e rapine o a qualsiasi crimine violento, allenandosi nel frattempo e sviluppando una muscolatura maggiore rispetto ai suoi simili coetanei.
Al campo Opph lo si vede raramente, mentre lei si prepara alla sua rivalsa.
A 10 anni Ydhee riesce ad entrare in una delle bande del campo le quali si occupano di crimini organizzati, di spaccio e rapine.
Purtroppo per lei la gloria dura poco: appena entrata nella gang scopre che il capo di questa non è altri che Zaduhz in persona, il quale non era mai realmente morto:
come marino più piccolo e debole rispetto agli altri egli si era sempre finto gravemente malato per manipolare con la pietà gli altri più fragili e sofferenti per poterli sfruttare. Così era riuscito ad accumulare abbastanza ricchezze da diventare in breve tempo capo della gang; Ydhee era l'unica così inutile da riuscire a procurarle solo cibo invece di soldi.
Essendo la gang specializzata in furti e rapine e composta solo da maschi Zaduhz decide che il ruolo della nuova recluta sarà, a dispetto della sua forza e valore dimostrati, quello della prostituta così da estendere la loro influenza su nuovi settori ed essendo Ydhee entrata ormai nell'età consentita secondo gli standard degli zingari marini per vendere regolarmente il suo corpo con le altre.
Nello stesso momento Ydhee scopre che Opph, il quale non si faceva vedere in giro da tempo, lavora come sottoposto diretto di Zaduhz all'interno della gang e che da quel momento sarebbe stato il superiore di Ydhee (addirittura è lui a consigliare a Zaduhz di usarla come prostituta).
L'animo di Ydhee finisce definitivamente in pezzi, perdendo ogni ragione di vita e rendendosi conto di essere vissuta in una gigantesca bugia, una truffa nella quale qualsiasi debolezza o forza sono strumenti di manipolazione di cui lei è stata solo un giocattolo.
Ella rifiuta di prostituirsi e per questo viene prima minacciata e poi picchiata dalla gang, ma a lei non importa: non cederà mai più il suo corpo a nessuno, l'orgogliosa ragazzina anche se distrutta non cederà mai più nulla.
Non riuscendola a convincerla con la forza Opph per vendetta la colpisce con un coltello al viso lasciandole una cicatrice che le rimarrà per tutta la vita così che nessuno possa più volerla e la lascia in una stanza a morire.
A lei non interessa più nulla, smette di mangiare o di fare qualsiasi altra cosa se non aspettare che tutto finisca.
Qualche settimana dopo il campo di marini nel Duman viene preso d'assalto dalle milizie della NCM con l'ordine di arrestare tutti i criminali e sgomberare il campo: di fronte alle forze armate il chaos si scatena con gli zingari che fuggono in ogni direzione per fuggire all'arresto o all'inserimento in orfanotrofi per i minori.
A far parte del plotone dell'NCM vi è un falco di nome Shakrov il quale, oltre al suo lavoro ufficiale, lavora alle dirette dipendenze di Torn Weidderg, mediatore politico il quale è stato uno dei promotori dell'azione di chiusura dei campi dei marini nel sud di Giondia.
Shakrov trova Ydhee in una stanza, denutrita e disidratata, con la ferita sul muso ancora gonfia, i muscoli forti di adulta son tornati quelli di una bambina la quale invece di scappare come han fatto gli altri semplicemente lo fissa negli occhi, indifferente alla paura, tenendo stretto nella mano un piccolo dente.
Shakrov rimanendo impressionato dal suo sguardo contatta Torn e preleva la piccola ragazzina squalo dal campo personalmente, dividendola dagli altri suoi coetani e dalla sua vita per sempre.
Ydhee si ritrova in una clinica ospedaliera privata dove viene curata e rifocillata dietro lo sguardo vigile di Torn il quale, una volta che lei si è ripresa, le si presenta e le spiega di volerla adottare, facendola vivere a casa sua sotto la sua ala protettiva.
La gentilezza nei suoi confronti e l'eleganza di quel colpiscono la ragazzina che accetta, senza fare alcuna domanda, l'offerta del politico.
Risolte alcune questioni burocratiche, durante il cui tempo Ydhee rimane ospite della clinica, si trasferisce nell'appartamento di Torn nella città di Viridia, nello stato delle Pantakas, divenendo così ufficialmente figlia adottiva di Torn Weidderg e assumendone il cognome. Lì ha un luogo tranquillo dover vivere e prepararsi al frequentare una scuola.
Torn è sempre dolce e gentile con lei ma è quasi sempre assente a causa del suo lavoro e del fatto che, oltre ad Ydhee, ha altre ragazzi e ragazze adottivi di cui si prende cura sparsi per il mondo, quindi lei passa la maggior parte del tempo comunque da sola, con la compagnia degli insegnanti privati o di addetti alla pulizia della casa e alla preparazione del cibo.
Dopo qualche mese entra nella Scuola Omnicomprensiva Lapale di Viridia, una scuola statale che raggruppa bambini e giovani di varie estrazioni sociali per abituarli alla convivenza comune e prepararli al lavoro; Ydhee ha ora 11 anni.
Cresciuta in un ambiente ostile e feroce, non riesce ad integrarsi nel nuovo ambiente composto principalmente di ragazzini sereni e viziati, non capisce le restrittive regole comportamentali e si trasforma in una bulla, la quale aggredisce e si approfitta dei più deboli (e non solo).
In particolare prova antipatia due studenti di un'altra classe più giovani di lei: un ragazzino di nome Neist (capra) e una ragazzina cracatoa di nome Sylvia, entrambi di buona famiglia e solitari rispetto agli altri.
Ydhee li bullizza continuamente e usa ogni occasione per mettergli le mani addosso.
Nel frattempo Torn torna sempre più raramente a casa ed Ydhee a fatica impara a vivere da sola, rifiutando l'ingresso a chiunque e usando i pasti consegnati per sviluppare in segreto il piacere del cucinare e di rielaborare il cibo, in attesa di poter preparare lei il pranzo per Torn verso il quale sviluppa un attaccamento sempre più profondo.
Un giorno, in una delle tante azzuffate con Neist e Sylvia, questi assieme riescono per la prima volta a fare abbastanza male alla ragazza squalo da riuscire a scacciarla, uscendone tutti e tre martoriati di lividi. Ydhee poco dopo incontra una gang di bulli, tutti più grandi di 15 anni, ai quali invece di cedere il passo li sfida apertamente e con strafottenza, senza alcuna paura, cosa che spinge il gruppo a raccogliere la sfida e ad aggredirla tutti assieme.
Neist e Sylvia, i quali casualmente avevano assistito alla scena non notati, non possono rimanere indifferenti nei riguardi di quella bulla che, nonostante tutto, non si era mai fatta aiutare da nessuno ed aveva sempre combattuto da sola. Sylvia trascina Neist nella mischia ed i due si schierano dalla parte di Ydhee, nonostante i lividi ancora freschi.
La rissa finisce con i tre sconfitti e massacrati di botte, ma anche il gruppo di teppisti riporta un paio di feriti non più in grado di proseguire, motivo per il quale abbandonano la lotta senza infierire ulteriormente.
Una volta scomparsi gli altri Ydhee, ripresasi dal combattimento e incredibilmente stupita dal gesto delle sue due vittime, raccoglie da terra un dente rotto durante la colluttazione e lo mostra a loro due con orgoglio, spiegando che per gli antenati marini quello è un simbolo di orgoglio, prova di un combattimento importante.
Per la prima volta in vita sua Ydhee si apre con qualcuno, trovando nei due ragazzini un coraggio e generosità degni della sua stima senza compromessi. Ydhee ha 12 anni quando conosce i suoi primi amici.
Loro saranno i primi a provare ciò che lei cucina ed l'atteggiamento di lei muta nei loro confronti, mostrando il suo lato dolce e goffo, non abituata a questa nuova situazione.
Ella ha anche occasione di essere ospite più volte a casa di Neist, mostrando il suo lato più timido nei confronti della famiglia e sviluppando con lui un'amicizia più intima, per quanto sempre innamorata del suo tutore Torn con il quale lei passa sporadici ma intensi momenti durante i quali mangiano assieme ciò che lei ha cucinato o escono al luna park o a qualche evento mondano, con Torn che la fa sentire sempre come una principessa.
Sylvia dal canto suo prende il ruolo della sorella maggiore di Ydhee conservando comunque il suo comportamento sbarazzino e spensierato.
Per la prima volta Ydhee prova cosa è una vita normale e con i suoi nuovi amici comincia ad imborghesirsi un po', per quanto si vesta e rimanga sempre una teppista il cui passato criminale si manifesta se la situazione lo richiede.
Durante gli anni successivi si appassiona di storia, scavando ulteriormente sulle origini e orgoglio del suo popolo: si avvicina per la prima volta alla sua cultura reale tanto da iscriversi al corso di Esh-mah, arte marziale adatta alla lotta sia su terra che sott'acqua usata dagli incursori acquatici durante le guerre del 91° secolo.
Raggiunti i 16 anni si fa tatuare sul braccio sinistro la pipa Tebusu (molto di moda tra i marini), simbolo del raggiungimento della pace tra i popoli di terra ed i popoli di mare attraverso la quale i secondi avrebbero potuto camminare liberamente su tutti i territori dei primi.
In quel periodo viene avvicinata da un gruppo di marini di Viridia i quali, notandola le sue capacità e attinenza, la invitano ad unirsi al loro gruppo di criminali: lei si unisce a loro, sentendo il richiamo del suo vecchio mondo.
Sylvia da tempo aveva condiviso con gli altri due la sua curiosità e fascino per la carriera militare del padre e spesso li trascinava nelle sue attività all'aria aperta, portandoli dove suo padre, il colonnello Otakar portava lei da bimba, riuscendo perfino ad ottenere i permessi per poter visitare tutti e tre la caserma della Nova Pride (il corpo di difesa autonomo dello stato delle Pantakas).
E' il 12.002 dd e il giorno della loro visita scoppia ciò che viene ricordato come l'Incidente Judas.
In quello stesso giorno la Squadra 636 capitanata dall'ibrido ratto – smilodonte Zack viene mandata in missione ed una Ydhee diciassettenne ha occasione di scambiare con lui un paio di parole prima della sua partenza. Zack la schernisce e la mette in guardia da quella vita, ma allo stesso tempo la sta chiaramente incitandola con le sue parole di orgoglio, dovere e responsabilità.
In quello stessa giornata Sylvia la prende con sé, distaccandosi dal più calmo e diligente Neist, a sgattaiolare di nascosto per la base, incappando in un hangar nei primi prototipi degli esoscheletri da combattimento H.A.L Suits, in grado di consentire la levitazione in volo grazie ad un nucleo di Arkenite.
Ripensando all'incontro con Zack e alla guerriglia avvenuta a Duxel (causata dall'Incidente Judas) Ydhee prova una grande vergogna per sé stessa e per ciò che sta facendo della sua vita, decidendo così di interrompere ogni frequentazione con il gruppo di criminali, non volendo avere più niente a che fare con quel mondo.
Dopo gli eventi di quei giorni Zack diventa un ricercato come terrorista per l'aver assassinato senza motivo apparente un politico della NCM a Viridia ed il programma Nova Pride subisce dei grandi cambiamenti, volendo un approccio più civile e meno militaresco alle funzioni di sicurezza del paese, tanto che d'ora in poi per l'attivazione delle forze letali di una squadra serve sempre che tutti e tre i membri di quest'ultima siano d'accordo, altrimenti le funzioni del loro armamentario sono fortemente limitate.
Ulteriormente viene inserito un sistema computerizzato che faccia da test d'ingresso a chiunque voglia entrare a far parte della Nova Pride detto Test di Airing nel quale il candidato viene portato da un macchinario (chiamato anch'esso Macchina di Airing) in stato di ipnosi e vengono registrati i segnali di inconscio e subconscio per poi essere elaborati da un sistema di Intelligenze Artificiali così da stabilire se il soggetto sia entro i parametri per poter essere moralmente adatto al ruolo.
Le nuove squadre Nova Pride dovranno essere civili la cui etica e moralità siano innate, in grado di aiutare e difendere le persone in difficoltà, non distruggere o approfittarsi dei più debole.
Nonostante Ydhee abbia un anno in più di Neist e Sylvia essi frequentano lo stesso anno scolastico e si diplomano assieme quando lei ha 19 anni. Dopo il trauma di essersi prostituita a 8 anni Ydhee non si è mai fatta toccare dagli uomini, sentendo di desiderare solo Torn e sviluppando una forte gelosia nei suoi confronti ed invidia per gli altri suoi figli e sopratutto figlie adottive.
A 19 anni Sylvia convince Neist a fare il test di Airing e Neist rassicura Ydhee: lei ha sempre sofferto a causa del suo passato e l'essere seguita da psicologi come ragazza problematica non ha cambiato ciò, essendo lei sempre sul bilico tra la nuova vita borghese con i suoi amici e il suo lato più violento e criminale.
Il test si terrà per loro il giorno 7 del mese di Feppo, giorno del ventesimo compleanno di Ydhee: lei rinuncia a partecipare per passare la giornata con il tutore Torn di ritorno da un lungo periodo di assenza sempre a causa lavorativa, ma purtroppo il giorno stesso scopre che egli non riuscirà a tornare in tempo per il suo compleanno.
Nello sconforto e scontro di emozioni di rabbia e dispiacere prende la decisione di non rimanere lì quel giorno ad aspettare un amore così impossibile ed inconsistente, che deve seguire la sua strada che è la stessa che porta dai suoi amici, anche se il test dovesse andare male e scoprirsi così incompatibile con loro.
Esce di corsa di casa e raggiunge Neist e Sylvia i quali la accolgono con gioia alla caserma Nova Pride e i tre affrontano con entusiasmo il test.
I giorni successivi Ydhee è molto in ansia in attesa del responso del test, fino al giorno in cui questo non arriva ed è per Neist e Sylvia positivo... e incredibilmente anche per lei.
Senza neanche avere il tempo per festeggiare la risposta del test Torn torna a casa da lei, sorprendendola in quanto già a conoscienza della sua partecipazione e responso al test: Torn rivela ad Ydhee di aver fatto pressione, grazie al suo potere politico, affinché i risultati fossero comunque positivi. Questo da un lato la rende immensamente felice e la fa sentire amata, facendole perdonare l'assenza di Torn (motivata dall'impegno di lui nell'aiutarla a seguire la sua strada), ma dall'altro lato incentiva le sue insicurezze e sensi di colpa.
I tre amici entrano così a far parte della Nova Pride: seguono i corsi ed allenamenti e allo stesso tempo continuano a studiare all'università (Ydhee sceglie il percorso di turismo e gastronomia); vengono inseriti nella stessa squadra, la 636, ovvero la stessa che un tempo era composta da Zack, Lynn e Gillian (dei quali si son perse da tempo le tracce, per quanto ricercati in tutto il mondo).
Dentro alla Nova Pride i tre giovani sviluppano amicizie e rivalità, mentre fuori dalla base conservano la loro vita da borghese, tuttavia quando sono in missione vestono i panni degli eroi, indossando le HAL Suits (divenute ormai standard).
E' la sera del 12 Fotolalte 12.008 dd: il trio si sta divertendo in una discoteca di Viridia quando la musica si interrompe per dar spazio alla notizia di una terribile esplosione nucleare nella città vicina di Duxel...
Segni particolari: tatuaggio della pipa Tebusu sul braccio sinistro, ferita orizzontale sul muso, anelli e bracciali borchiati sulla pinna caudale, ciondolo al collo con due denti persi da lei in combattimento.
