I designed this OC in early April! This is Valerie, a hermit crab with split personalities.

Valerie is a rising singer/songwriter who struggles to manage her two personalities, both of which having their own form and appearance. Her opera form on the left is very shy and reserved, often keeping to herself unless need be. Her popstar form on the right, however, is much more vibrant and outgoing.

Sometimes she's able to trigger the personality swap on her own, but more often than not, social situations are what often cause the change. Social pressures and loud environments can cause her to switch to her right personality, while embarrassing moments and quiet environments can cause the opposite. Seeing her swap between these forms are quite the spectacle to see. Since her dress is completely made out of water, swapping from left to right will cause it to whirlpool and evaporate into the cloud-like hair shown in her right form, while swapping right to left causes this hair to rain back down, forming her dress once more. Valerie cannot grow natural hair, and is ashamed of her predicament, so her popstar personality tries to mask this fact through her form's appearance.

Since her two personalities are radically different, it can be difficult to remember that she's still the same person, and retains all the memories and experiences both personalities go through. She keeps a diary, and often writes to herself, her forms constantly being angry at each other for their differences and their decisions.
