I had to look up 'vignette', but aside from that I liked this one quite a bit :) I didn't immediately connect with the fact that Colin was the person that Keri lost, but it probably works better without spelling that out.

It was rather sad/depressing, but you captured that well in a very short amount of text.

That's almost exactly what I felt when I went to my grandfather's funeral.

Very emotional. Not sure if I like this or not... it's sort of depressing... and part of me yearned for great tragedy in the end... but yeah... maybe the end has more hope as the way it's now. And it's written well, it isn't sappy in any way... at least, in my opinion.

So yeah... very nice story, I enjoyed reading this. It's short, but very full. Full of idea, emotion, loss, tragedy and hope. Great work.

I'm glad to see you posting again. As usual, you really have a wonderful way with words. My favorite part was the paragraph where she takes out the phone and suddenly remembers he's gone. Very moving.

It's nice ... people are sometimes stuck in the "eternal now" and don't know how to move on.

Some people get stuck in it for a long time. :/
