Meadow Grainmaster is an Elf of Faerie, the Shining Land of Fuma's Gift. As a member of the King-Emperor's Privy Council (and no, that does not mean she wipes his bum) and HRH Marshal Roland's spymaster, she is a good magic-user. At one time, she and the roebuck Westersloe Winterbough V were a bit of an Item.

The relationship soured a somewhat, and now they're just friends.

They do play pranks on each other, though.

Westersloe thought up a doozy by a skillful bit of magic, causing Meadow's chair to disappear and be immediately substituted with an ergonomic rocking chair. The evil part of this is that you have to have perfect posture when using it, because leaning too far will dump you on the floor.

Plus, it rocks back and forth.

So she's flailing, and vowing revenge.

Fun, eh?
