This is an ad that Seuss illustrated for Standard Oil of New Jersey (Esso), which (aside from gasoline) also manufactured FLIT. Of note is the lower left, where there's a plug for a radio show sponsored by SONJ, which featured "Flywheel, Shyster & Flywheel," an early venture by Groucho and Chico Marx into radio. The scripts (nearly all) survive, and one or two of the shows (unusual for 1933)

Yup. When the original Standard Oil was broken up, it resulted in a lot of different "Standard" companies (many of which have since merged back), all of which had to be differentiated.
Standard of New Jersey = Esso
Standard of California = Chevron
Standard of Indiana = Amoco (American Oil Co.)
Standard of Ohio = Sohio
Standard of New York = Mobil
And so forth.
