This amazingly detailed and high-quality piece has a lot of symbolism that's important to me personally in both concrete and abstract ways. Some of my existential post-religious thoughts, if you will. The theme is the journey through this existence.
I am shown as the strong, male werewolf self I've longed to physically be for most of my time on this earth; a powerful hedge against mortality and its pitfalls. A very handsome, attractive, desirable, and capable form.
I'm suspended in indecision--maybe a bit fearful--as I hunt to find my way through this life, different possible paths spidering-off in every direction around me. It's hard to know which route is correct, or if multiple different possibilities could all be right in different ways. Where will each road take me? Sometimes dark misty clouds hide pitfalls; obstacles or rough, barren terrain.
The Ouroboros around my wrists--depicted as a local-to-me rattlesnake--represents being bound by the infinite. Existing as a sentient being, aware of and able to comprehend limitless possibilities and realities that may exist, and yet stuck in the present time and sentenced to a fleeting, sometimes bleak, often menial and dreary mortal existence. Also represents the Wheel of Time series that I enjoy.
The Triquetra framing my head, also known as the trinity knot, is a Celtic symbol representing both a country I lived in when I was a young pup, as well as the infinite cycle of life (life-death-rebirth), the passage of time (past-present-future), and the lunar and solar phases.
The Tool third eye symbol represents themes the band addresses: different dimensions and planes of existence, the one-ness of the universe and being one with it (the collective whole), looking beyond our physical senses, the unknown, the eternal, the meaning of life (if any), our souls, our third eye, etc. Does anything matter? Does everything matter? The more we learn, the more we realize just how little we actually know.

Hanmonster did an absolutely amazing job on this! So much detail, such a great job artistically in all respects. Han is absolutely great to work with and I would definitely recommend commissioning them!
