Cathrine the (not so) great needs to get to another kingdom quickly.... Tharkis just happens to be conveniently around when she shows up. A little magic here, a little magic there, and ooh, a tharkis turned out so pretty ! "Um, sorry that you turned into a mare, i think my magic got confused by your kilt... on the other hand you ended up a unicorn too, so you're really quite pretty!" Tharkis can only snort and look annoyed in response.
