"Dead Dog" is an old convention tradition, typically after closing ceremonies there's a party in the con suite for any remaining attendees, and to get rid of leftover snacks and drinks. Surprised no one's come up with a good furry alternative name for it.

Probably because "dead dog" perfectly symbolizes all the very tired furries at the end of a long convention where they probably never followed the 8-3-2 rule.
So they're all dead tired, dog makes sense for a furry convention, and half the attendees smell like dead dogs anyway :P
