Blots--
Blots (probably from "ink blot" for their inky look) are easily manufactured toon-like entities. They are monotonous in color, as well as in everything else; they seem to be unable to portray varies in expression, intelligence, appearance, and motive. Simply, they have very little character on all sides and dimensions.
They appear to want nothing more than to attack each other (and everything else) and "absorb" copious amounts of the ink that fills their like. Such an act points that they harbor a basic, yet continuous goal of getting bigger and stronger. They've been said to ignore weaker blots and gang up on stronger ones, but their discrimination has been recorded to be more random.
Blots don't appear to be natural occurrences, as in, that it is suggested they might be coming from a man-made phenomenon. Blots occurring in hoards act as though they are conducted to work towards a common goal, while blots that are by themselves act more radically. The average blot is not much of a threat to those on their guard, so they are somewhat pathetic and are often treated as punching bags (try it, it's lots of fun!)
The one on the right is in a very unstable state. It was probably attacked, or used too much energy for its body to handle. Even the line art is torn, letting it bleed "ink" profusely until it's reduced to a puddle. It's somewhat morbidly curious as to what a blot feels or thinks of when it "dies," as they keep the face they started with, from beginning to end
