Lifting that payload off of any platform would sure cause Houston to have second thoughts about the entire mission.
So I was listening to some podcast and I couldn't believe no one had ever used this as inspiration for a gag. Space X's reusable rocket goes by the name Falcon Heavy, and that is pure gold for fatty jokes about obese birds. What's not to love? I couldn't resist the urge to make this into yet another practice of obscure species. Falcons don't get all that much love in this site.
In any case, here's Dr. Andrew Tercel, rocket engineer for NASA who enjoys both orbital mechanics and orbit-shaped dough rings in the break room just as much. Which is a well known fact and has become a running joke among the engineers who work on the control room. And when the name of the competition's rocket was announced, it was simply too good of an opportunity to pass up. The IT guys set all their brilliant minds to the task of setting Dr. Tercel's username to FALCON_HEAVY in all of NASA's servers, much to the annoyance of the good-spirited bird of prey.
Clearly, he was less than satisfied with such behaviour.
In defense of NASA's engineers, when you're working with such a large bird, there's just so much space to poke fun at.
